We're not the ones to judge which players will make the grade - thats up to the experts

hotpie said:Fair enough but I want them to choose somebody - ANYBODY young ahead of Camporeale and Cupido. And a currently listed player at the greatest team in modern history deserves serious consideration, especially when by all accounts the club wants to keep him. I'd rather risk a failure with trying a kid than having short term success with a 3o year old (Campo) or an erratic dud (Cupido).

We will be able ivite players to train, those we have been watching who may of been unlucky to miss out or those who have talent but have a query to assess them futher and then make a better decision in the PSD.

Former Donald footballer Travis Baird will nominate for the AFL national & pre-season drafts after quitting Brisbane.
Now cutting out the padding & adding what I know
Told if a certain player was delisted he would be elevated, (player was Mclaren but he was not elevated).
Collingwood & Sydney have been in contact with his manager, Collingwood has called a few times, Sydney once, both clubs told him they would select him is available in the coming drafts. (No contact from either club in recent days)...
States he'd like to come back to Victoria, and then talks glowing of Collingwood, but then states will play anywhere to get on a senior list...
Hoping for contact from either Collingwood or Sydney with an invertation to train,( trains with the Lions for the last time today)...
I was pleased he was rookied although ...
... I would not have rookied him myself. Good kid.
Handy TAC form but I just struggled to see a specific AFL role for him.
I concede he was possibly carrying a niggle (maybe O.P.? - I can't recall). He was often rested on the bench in games. Bottom line though is that in '04 he played 16 TAC games plus a VC trial and the Allies game, missing only 2 isolated TAC games and, statistically, got over 19 disposals in 3 games and under 9 disposals in 3 games. Not that stats are everything but I felt that, although good overhead and not particularly fit (for whatever reason), he needed to show more for an "in-between height" guy whose pace displayed last year was barely borderline, whose kicking was not bad but not great, and who was not flash below the knee. Seems a good team man and nice kid and was on my list for quite a while but dropped off it by end of season.
