this type of thread never ceases to amaze.

all the excuses in the world to keep players all because kel moore happened to make it at a mature age.hes one of very few at this club who have done so. never mind one could reel of 20 30 names at the drop of a hat of those duds we hung onto for way to long.
yep lets all ignore one of the chronic failings of this club, that being they hang onto players with chronic deficiency way to long and why well they live in hope rather than assessing a players strengths and weaknesses. and of course kel moore made it we need to hang onto all players for way to long.

bloody hell do people ever look at processes.

...sounds like you two are a match made in hell...:D...

...sure you dont play in the same band?!??...'The Drones'...;)...

...you two play the same negative tune about the club and players non stop...:(...

....play a tune of constructive criticism for a change or is that a chord progression too far for both of you...?!?......

Pacy, brilliant kick, ridiculously injury prone.

I didn't want him gone at the time but i'm a little concerned about him coming back. Back then we had a terrible, aging side who could afford to keep a few talented youngsters even if they were injury prone. Now we are a promising young side who needs to rely on their youngsters and can't afford to carry injury prone ones!

He's only missed 2 games in the last 2 seasons in the WAFL. One was a pre-season game and the other was for a rest because finals were coming up.

So hopefully his injury woes are over.

It is true... I do enjoy the incisive nature of the 'Claws' observations.....or maybe I am just sick of those who slavishly follow the 'party line' and selectively quote anyone who isn't. We have been a rabble coming up to 30 years!!!!! Forgive us for being ummmm judicious with our praise:rolleyes:

It's funny how some people on here constantly bang on about how bad we have been for the past 30 years and how mediocre we have been, may I put it to you that you may still be stuck in mediocrity yourself?

I mean the club has certainly not looked back at past failings yet many on here like to bring it up all the time, I mean how can you ever go forward if your only ever looking back?

its funny how some of us have banged on for 30 yrs and been proven right most times.
we bang on because past failings are not learnt from.
perhaps when things change and the same mistakes are not made over and over we to will change.

casserley is 23 he had a decent yr at swans but he didnt do enough imo to earn a spot on the list. casserley hislop why cant we just cut our losses like most other clubs, no at richmond we just cant let go because what if they come good rather than bloody hell they had their shot and failed.

i will reiterate the club still hangs onto under performing players for way to long and does convolutions when it has to let them go.

Gary Ablett Snr. Greg Williams, Libba spring to mind as blokes who were given the flick and came back better. The latter 2 won Brownlows!!!!! Oh hang on Casserley had his go. Please leave Trav before we set fire to your underpants! That's the rules! Go away. But hang on Michael Barlow was drafted late and was good. But that's Michael Barlow! Podsiadly was 28 on debut. Hang on! What? Mmmm, Craig Bolton was 21 when given his shot at Sydney and won flag. Josh Mahony also won a flag after being taken by Port Adel at 25 in the Pre Season Draft. Brent Guerra....BLAH BLAH BLAH

What premiership contender line-up would have Hislop and Casserley in it:o

What happens if these one and/or both finally click and become good players and actually play in our next flag? Are you going to still be on here saying how stupid the club was in selecting them in the 3rd-4th round of the 2010 Rookie draft or will you be on here saying how great it was we managed to snare a couple of premiership players with such late picks.

Now I realise that the chances of this happening aren't that great but the point is we're a side that is still trying to find 22 players that are capable of taking us to that next flag. Even though Hislop and Casserly have had a few years in the system already it doesn't mean they can't still be part of success.

Leigh Brown is a perfect example of what I'm talking about. I doubt anyone, even Pies fans, would have thought when was taken by the Pies after being discarded by the Roos that he would be an integeral part of their premiership side 2 years later.

So how about we give these guys a shot and see what happens, afterall what have we got to lose. Its not like we're challenging for a flag or even the finals next year. If they fail we move on and select another couple of rookies next year to take their spot.

...and dont forget that has-been in good old dean wallis playing in a premiership side under sheeds, a nobody that proved the foorball world wrong...

...and then there was dean rioli one of the unfittest, overweight slowest players to ever grace the footy field...

...michael gardiner has plodded around in 3 grand finals(?!) with wonky knees...

...then theres the efforts of josh fraser to keep rucking...

...and finally our very own tireless war horse in tuck...

...so called duds that just kept on trying...:thumbsu:...

...a little like yourself maybe....

Travis casserly i can understand in giving another shot, was way too skinny when first arrived at punt road & took 2 years before he had any muscle what so ever on him & a terrible run with injuries. Smart h/b flanker

Hislop ....................................... Total waste of space !!
