I'd cut loose:

Fanning
Walker
Hall
Morrison
Iacobucci
and maybe Iles

I'd promote Harry O'Brien.

I'd keep Toovey and Nicholls on the rookie list for another year

Meaning we would be able to draft five players and one rookie.

You obviously get to a few games and know whats going on king woodie....
seen a bit of Iles have you? how has he been going the last few weeks?

Now Pielebo87 I am not picking on you(2 responses in 1 thread) but have you seen any willi games?? Do you want us to pick young blokes for the sake of development . We need to pick our best 22. Stanley is struggling to get a game in the willi 1s let alone at Collingwood. I have seen 4 of his games and he has been very dissapointing. Yakka has not shown anywhere near enough to suggest he is in our best 22. Anthony is young and raw and has talent but no where near ready and no one really expected him to be this year.

As much as i agree in theory, that players must deserve a run in the 1s. I have to bring nick in as a exemption to the rule. He wasnt setting the world on fire for willi when he was given a call up. Some players take to the presure and situation that playing in the big leagues gives. Personally id be giving these youngens a run, 1 per week, give tarks a rest and give stanners a run ect. If you dont blood your younger players especially in games that will be hard to lose (bottom 4 teams) then you end up like brisbane.
Sorry Ants, I actually havent seen any Willy games, but I always check the INSIDE FOOTBALL every week because they comment on every Collingwood listed player and I only hear good things from the players I mentioned. And I agree that you do have to earn your spot in the seniors but phoenix pretty much summed up what my intentions were. Players like Stanley and Anthony are still in my mind because of they're pre-season games for Collingwood. They did great jobs and showed plenty of potential. And I know one of them has A LOT of hardness about him, we could use that kind of hardness in our midfield, giving a youngster a chance to throw himself into packs and break a few of them will most definitely help in the long run. We play the bottom 5, what better chance?

In regards to delistings. No chance should Yakka or Illes be delisted. Way too early, even Fanning, ONLY because he is a ruckman, and they do need time to develop. In regards to Walker, I have to say I might be bias but I like him and I believe he should be given more of a chance before delisting him. He was massive for young player the last time I saw him in the seniors, thats something I like to see on Collingwood players, because we do lack muscle compared to the top sides.

Now this kid has potential, a brilliant game last week and the Magpies would have to be one of the favorite for the flag. Now hearing that from a Melbourne supporter is something, although if Melbourne played Collingwood for the Flag, I say this, if Arron Davey is playing Melbourne will win and if he isn't, Collingwood will win - close down Arron Davy and the 2006 flag is yours!

i think the last 2 weeks travis has shown he can play awesome at both CHF and CHB against west coast i think he was one of our best players he was there for the contest and getting the ball out quickly so other players can keep moving it on.

against the hawks he played CHF he made him self a target that we can actually use and he has the long kick to really get things moving quickly to the the hot spot.

but 1 thing dont get to excitted about him just yet he has had the chance to play CHF for awhile but hasnt done all that much.
i think his wasted playing in a pocket and i believe he would make a great CHB aswell. Remember one thing when he started to play really well last week he was on Zac (the hak) dawson cause he couldnt handle rocca so lets see him hold down chf this week against the crows.
