when I say all is not well off the field
Love your Avatar. I remember having that picture on a place mat as a kid. That was the start of it all for me!Sad to see Varcoe out again so soon after coming back from a season long injury. Going to miss his explosive pace, especially since we don't have the Woj anymore for explosive runs out of the backline![]()
I'm hoping when he does make a comeback from this shoulder, and he is not necessarily immediately forthcoming with amazing tackles and shoulder collisions, that the usual antagonists can stay off his case and not come out with the usual vitriole about his attack at the contest. We have seen this year how physical, how amazing his tackles, and most importantly, how devastating his run has been.Depends on exactly how bad it is and recommendation from the surgeon but might as well fix it now and be done with it I think. Mitch Brown was talking about his shoulder recos and where they somehow placed a bone in front to stop the shoulder from popping out. Seems like it did the trick for him so might be the way to go for Trav too. 3 months isn't ideal but half of that is probably heal time and the other half is regaining strength in the shoulder area. Plus unlike the foot injury, he'll be able to do enough work to keep the run in his legs so all is not lost. Hopefully a return sometime in July is worst case scenario and still enough time to get a few games before (heres hoping) September action. But is a real shame as I've loved his attack on the ball so far. He hasn't shied away from contact and his pace has given us an added boost.

I just hope he can get back sooner than that.
Couldn't care if Trav has a fetish for human flesh in his spare time, just hope his injury isn't too severe.

I know nothing, well less than nothing really but that was all I could come up with....Well I am a Geelong local and have no idea what you're referring to, except if you're referring to marriage break-up?

never!!!What he can bring to the team, through his decision-making, skills and pressure, is so valuable. Off the ground, he is one of the most loved players in the group.
Travis's pace will be greatly missed. I know my eyes would light up whenever I saw him coming through the middle towards me with the ball because you knew the delivery would be pinpoint.Travis's willingness to run from end to end is simply phenomenal.
What he does better than probably anyone in the team is pressure the opposition. He chases, he harasses, he tackles he just applies so much pressure. And then once the turnover comes he takes off and finds his space and gets on the end of it.
Off the field, Travvy is an unbelievably loved character at the football club. It's his selflessness on the footy field that's the reason why I fell in love with him. I remember before every game he used to come up to me and say, "Moons, just yell out to me when your man runs off and I'll go and pick him up for you".
He was always looking after me, always looking after the older guys, or anyone really he was so team-oriented. As soon as you have that attitude, you're going to become extremely respected and extremely loved by your teammates.

1He's had the op. I think it was the Cats twitter account where they posted a photo of him after surgery with his arm in a sling.
