Rumors around that he is not happy at Port and would not mind a move to Magpie land. His dad played for Collingwood just a handful of games but we would be silly not to chase him if he is keen to come. Just about anyone beside Buckley and T Cloke would be worth sending for him.

If they ask for Didak i would give it to them as although Didak is a gun Anthony Rocca is not going to be around for ever and you never know how the achillies problem will go.

I would hate to lose Didak but Tredrea is top 5 in the AFL in player at this stage in his career and he is not an old man.

Thoughts??

We have no chance of getting him even if the rumour was true. Not after the Nick Stevens bad blood.

Not even worth speculating what we would have to give up to get him. With or without him we're still a midfielder or two short.

Exaclty. After the whole Nick Stevens crap we have no chance of ever getting anyone from Port Adeliade. I just hope Tredrea doesnt go in the draft and picked up by Carlton or Hawthorn.

he wouldnt leave at all, we could get him we have the money carlton and hawthorn havent got the money there to spend on him, we can look how much we were offering brown.

rocca will be fine when he gets back his only a year older then tredra and we also have T.cloke

but he will not leave so we r better off chasing someone that is about 22 or somehting like that and a midfielder or something.

I doubt Tredrea will be going anywhere but if he moves I hope we have a crack. I suspect a deal between the two clubs would be pretty tough to do but Tredrea is a gun and I'd love to get him. If we wanted to be mercenary about it we could offer Burns, Rocca and our first draft pick and Port might go for the one last flag chance option with Burns and Rocca. Trading these two would be a smart list move but it is not the sort of thing that makes for great football clubs.

Tarrant and a pick for Tredrea?

You do realise that tredrea is only 1 year younger than rocca. So age dosen't really come in to it.

I don't want Tredra. I still reckon he's overated. Stay at Port. He will cause he'll be captain in a couple of years if not next year.

harsh.
I reckon Tredrea is a an absolute gun. After early injury problems he is a colussus....so consistent and durable !
Love to have him, but they cost would be enormous to the club in form of trades and or picks !

Just that Rocca is underrated because he's never had the luxury of being an exclusive forward like Tredrea, Hall, Brown with their tems having good ruckmen !

This thread was on the main board a while ago, and IIRC Tredrea is in the middle of a contract. that means we have to trade because we can't PSD him. There's very little chance of a fair trade with Port unless the whole place melts down (say if Choco was sacked and there was a heap of infighting).

I'd love to have Tredrea but I can't see a player we can afford to trade that Port would want.
