Trent Cotchin

Hey guys,

Any news on your young bloke Trent Cotchin? He was injured for the first 4 rounds I think but haven't heard much about how he's going now. How's he been playing in the VFL? I have him sitting in my supercoach team so have taken a special interest in trying to follow him thats all. It's been a great year for kids and would love to see this kid do well too.

Wallace wants young Trent to get fit and spend as much time as he can tapping Andy Collin's superior football brain and skill level. He will probably bring them both along together and we'll see them hit firsts around round 10-14. Both these young talented players are the future of the club and once they form a killer combination at Coburg they will be called upon to take us into the next phase of mid field brilliance. Cotchin and Collins will join Foley and will form the best midfield since Judd , Kerr and Cousins.

Watched him play yesterday for the Burgers. He's a class above, and he knows it! Great hands, kicks both sides and reads the play very very well.

Lacking fitness, and even took himself off at one stage for a spell. It looked like his goal for the match was to get a few touches and get some game conditioning under the belt. He had that "I'm too sexy for the seconds" look about him, which i don't mind in a young footballer.

I just hope he works hard to build up the fitness he'll need to play in the middle long term. Gun in the making folks. Watch this space.
