Did anyone else notice the kid's reaction to our 2nd quarter as the half time siren went?

He was about to receive the handball as the siren rang, and he kicked it out of mid air in disgust. He then demanded all the players come in to a huddle. Was on other side of the ground, so couldn't tell if he addressed the group himself, but he looked so pissed off. Then came out in the third and was like a man possessed.

Backed back in the last(?) quarter to take mark a high ball, with no clue what was coming his way. Didn't hesitate for one moment. Then kicked the goal to boot.

Sooo much to look forward to here. He will make other players better just with his presence alone. With Cotch around, we won't miss Cuz one bit

Yeah, Cotchin and Cousins are really close. you could tell Cotchin wanted Cousins to go out in the right manner. When he marked that ball I thought he was gonna try and hand pass to Cousins but Cousins didn't want any of it.

Just the love the way he goes about his footy. He is edging every bit closer to becoming my favourite player.

Great tackle, super impressive closing speed. I wasn't sure he was going to make it in time to apply the tackle, was willing him to, but didn't think he would get there in time.
Great signs from Cotch, and you are right, he seems to be showing his injury woes may now be behind him. A really exciting player for our future.

his couple of games since returning from suspension were as good as any he played this year, played with some real desire and his finishing is really starting to hurt the opposition, I like what I see

Thanks for that Elwood, love his leadership qualities at the ripe old age of 20.

And huge kudos to Dustin Martin today. Twice in the first half he saw Kane Cornes eating dirt, in support of Cotch. Didn't care one bit that one of those was awarded a free kick, he sure let Cornes know he wasn't going to get it easy. These two kids complement each other like nothing else.

Awesome tackle from Cotch. I actually never realised he was such a quick player.

Sounds like Cotch might be our next captain. Very impressive to see a young player address the players after a pathetic 2nd quarter.

It was unbelievable, can't wait until he gets a full pre-season. The guy is an absolute gem, is the complete package, love him!

I like his more aggressive style now, seems to have taken it up a notch in that area this year.But he may be the only player to get suspended for 4 weeks for bumping a guy in the back, and having a free kick paid against him for bumping a guy whilst running to the bench. I near choked on my sandwich when the Port player got a free because Cotch bumped him whilst running from the ground

I was gonna mention Dusty putting Cornes on his ass . That was great to see. With jackson there also we will have a midfield with a bit of mongrel as well as class. Glad cuzzy took Cotch under his wing. Cotch seems have taken a lot from that. Which is good for us.

All in all the cousins experiment was a success for the club and for cousins.

Yep, couple of goals in each of the last two games. Goal kicking mid is Cotch, will kick plenty in time.

Cotch was very good again. He is getting numbers in the low 20's it will be so good next year with another pre season under his belt and he is getting numbers in the 30's regularly.

Good call on Cotch and Martin complimenting each other. Those put down blocks would be a lot to do with what Benny Cuz has to say about protecting your mids. I like Lids at HBF but I would love to see these three together around the ball....WOW! Who do you tag ecspecially with Foley in as well.

Anthony Hudson is such a dud. He is a Richmond hater in a big way I think. This morning on SEN he said "Cotchins decision making still worries him"...I actually think his decision making is one of his assets.

Over the course of this season Cotch has just about become my favourite player. I cant wait to see what he can do after a full preseason and playing in a winning side (hopefully!).

I saw him on the tv in the Locker Room during my half time beer break and I thought there is still a glimmer of hope.

Didn't know we'd almost win the game especially after they kicked the first goal of the second half.

Amazing fight really.

Thats a pretty big call. We had some BAD quarters this year. Im thinking either the 1st or 2nd quarter vs Sydney in round 2 or 3 as the worst for the year.
