With all the talk about sending players off right now, it's time something is done about deliberate acts. A send off rule will be a farce given we can't get goal reviews of protected area 50's right.

What I propose is a players suspension begins after the infringed player returns to the field. So let's say tigers keep prestia out for 2 weeks and Stewart receives a 4 week ban.. He would end up spending 6 weeks on the sidelines.

Gets too messy - what if the injured player got dropped for poor form at same time and didn't come back into seniors till end of year. Does the reported player miss the season??

In theory don't mind it but should be reserved for instances where the penalty is greater than 3 weeks.

Don't mind the other suggestion where a game of suspension is served the next time they play again in H/A

Messy - plus it downplays incidents like JHF on Kelly where no matches were missed but only really by luck? I thought for a second maybe it should only be for incidents graded intentional but Stewart showed you can take a player out with a head high bump with the ball away and get called careless so that doesn't work either.
