I was just wondering what people thought the difference was with Cam bruces non trip call against essendon and also the one against essendon last year when it was neale's last game.
Why is it that he can never get any free kicks for it????
It is an absolute joke!!!

I think that umpire had a particularly bad day, and the bad calls just continued to occur and became amplified to the supporters throughout the day.

In that same instance, the umpire somehow decided he played on, Bruce was then tripped, and following that he was pushed in the back. I don't know how an AFL level umpire get 3 calls wrong in the same incident.....the mind boggles.

I don't think the umpires are going out on match day thinking "I'm not going to give a free kick against anyone who trips Cameron Bruce." It's just unlucky for him, I don't remember the one last year, but there you go.
