Without Cheating, who were the four semi-finalists in the mens singles event at the Athens Olympic games? I've asked 5 knowledgeable tennis fans already, none could name more than 2.

My second question is this. Why is tennis even in the olympics?

Massu
Berdych

Guessing now . . .

A russian - maybe Davydenko
Tommy Haas

I didn't watch it at all last time it was on! Tough question.

That was an incredible result. For me, if I was a tennis player, an olympic gold medal would be just below a grand slam, but above any other tournament.

For that reason alone, I think tennis should not be an olympic sport. An olympic gold medal should be the highest honour in that sport, and a gold medal isn't in tennis. It does'nt get all the top players playing in it and I think that makes it lose some credibility. Tennis is my favourite sport and the olympics are awesome, but they should not be together. And on a side note, either should soccer.

I know Molik got a bronze in the womens.

Your right about Tennis in the Olympics. Little crowds, very much a who gives a crap for the players and fans from the host nation. Wont be any better in China either.

Taylor Dent ROFL.

Mens soccer is under 23's and Womens is Open, mainly because soccer World Cup >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Olympic Soccer tournament.

I like the idea of the under 23, or perhaps a team based event. one for women and one for mens, involving 2 players from each country with two singles games and a doubles. Have 4 groups of 4, then semis and the final maybe, like the preseason cup was when they had a group stage...
