I don't reckon we've seen a fraction of what he can do yet. Im glad he's getting a chance to finally show himself.

He has the pace, skill and size to cause some real damage in the run home just as long as he's not played out of position as a full back or close checking defender.

Agreed.

Broady has certainly proved me wrong. I didn't think he would make it after sustaining multiple long term injuries. Has shown a lot of determination to force his way back into the selectors view.

If Danners lets Broady play an attacking brand of footy for the remainder of his time vacating The General's position, we could finally see the emergence of this promising footballer.

With that been said, he must improve the consistency of his disposal and bulk up a little to ensure that he reaches his potential as a valuable contributer to our side.

The main strength of Troy is his versatility. Having Bizzell, Wheatley, Bruce and Broadbridge in the side would be very handy for Melbourne, potentially causing the opposition many matchup nightmares.

There still is a long way to go for Broady though. I hope he makes it.

he is essentially playing bizzels role

when biz returns i do hope he stays on even though hes definatly behind wheatley, bizzel and rivers

I don't think he's quite as mobile as Wheatley these days but he's still quicker than the other two. He lacks their strength but overall he's a good footballer, never far away from the 22 when fit.

I like Broady but you can only afford x number of tall defenders in the side.

Bizzell
Wheatley
Rivers
Nicholson
(Bruce)

are all ahead of him so IMO at full strength he doesn't make the lineup. Having said that he's been good the last few weeks and will hopefully continue to contribute before Bizzell's return.

i realli consider Rivers and Nicholson as our 2 TALL defenders and then we have a lot of tallish defenders who can play above their height...guys like bizzel, wheatley, bruce (sometimes) and broadbridge

Obviously Nicholson and Rivers are taking FB & CHB. That is not the point.

The point is that Bizzell, Wheatley and Bruce are ahead of Broadbridge and you don't need a collection of 6 tall defenders in the side each week.

I think they are nowhere near it to be brutally honest!

i totally agree but that is wat they are fighting for

carroll or fergeson will take his spot when nicholson goes (hopefully not soon :()

lamb wont play again unless nicholson or rivers is injured

Still nowhere near it on todays performance I reckon, agree Ferguson is next in line.

Oh & how confident was Broady against Essendon? Great to see.

carroll and lamb wont be able to play CHB at AFL level and we wont need em with rivers, bizzel, wheatley and now broadbridge realli stepping up into that half back line
