Will this bloke even get a game with ure midfield, he probably wasnt at his best last year and at 28 can he consolidate a spot in the side??
Can he recapture his form of 02-03???

Don't you just wish it to be true. Cooky will well and truly be in the mix this year. Take your thinly veiled sledges elsewhere

Cook, McManus and Walker will probably be playing for two spots in our 22. With Hayden likely to be underdone at the start of the season Walker is the obvious option to play on the oppositions best small forward, leaving Cook and Macca jostling for the other spot.

I think if he can establish himself as the primary defensive midfielder he should slot into our 22 every week.

If he relies on being one of many offensive midfielders he'll be a week to week proposition.

And that truly is the beauty of the situation. When a bloke like Cooky has to fight to keep a spot it is a great sign. Its no secret its going to be tough to stay in our midfield group week in week out for anyone with the options we have, but when a hard tough tackling man is called for you cant go past Cooky

Whilst our midfield is slowly developing the toughness that was missing for years, there is still room for Troy for at least one more year.

if cooky plays more than half a dozen games this year barring injuries i will be suprised, has been a very good player for the dockers over the years. you can never fault his commitment to the ball.
