hey guys I just thought because my mate bh23 was wrongly suspended i'd come and explain what happened.
I will state from the beginning I am best mates with bh23 and have been angry all day after finding out the allegations and harsh comments towards bh23. Bh23 is the best bloke i know and I have been best mates with him for about 10 years. Hes told me the story in full and what has occured over the last couple of days and he is in disbelief to what has been said about him and what allegations have been directed at him.
From what i can gather he put his code as being available because he was planning to go the footy with myself and was trying to find 2 codes, then after being approached by a hawks poster he sold his code to him....then a hawks poster offered his codes to bh23 and he accepted. After this, because he started a thread requesting info on ebay sales and whether it is possible to buy or sell prelim tickets, he was accused of selling these two barcodes...this is where i get confused, how and why was he accused of selling these tickets? Was it just a guess from a hawks supporter that because he enquired about info that he had sold both these tickets and cashed in on the generosity of a hawks poster, it is the complete opposite. I want to make it clear that BH23 is sorry for any harm this has caused and I can honestly say this is something he wouldnt dream of doing. To see all these things written about him just doesnt comply with the person he is and that is why i had to at least back him up and attempt to prove his innocence in this matter.

Private message indeed. The last post was closed for a reason - saves more of the same sh*t slinging. Will post a resolution if/when we get one.

This whole thing got out of hand.

With no facts and alot of assumption I think it was unfair for everybody to jump on BH23. However after one poster did the whole board seemed to follow like lemmings. :(

BH23's story seems totally feasible to me, and I'd be the first to welcome him to the weekly drinks before the game. :thumbsu:

Don't take the abuse to heart, if you met these posters face to face I doubt this whole scenario would even be mentioned (only smile and footy chat!).

I read the first post a couple of times and I don't get what your saying, he sold his own ticket and then got 2 more off another supporter. Isn't this the same thing as taking tickets and selling them, still seems pretty suss. If he didn't sell his off in the first place then someone else could have used the other tickets.

I could be wrong but it still doesn't sit well. And it sounds like he was going to give one of the tickets to the OP who is a Tigers supporter, again meaning another Hawks fan misses out on a ticket. Don't like it.
 
Buddyhawks23 did the wrong thing mate. You can't stick up for somebody that has done something that is highly illegal. It's in the fine print when you sign up as a member. It's on yours as well.

Sorry, none of this rings true at all.

2) he then gets barcodes that he is not entitled to for this final after having "sold" his barcode, so that he can go to the game. He then wants to take a Tiger supporter despite this supporter not being entitled to go on the ticket (barcode) offered.

3) he has a record of this sort of behaviour having tried to sell 6 tickets to the Richmond game.

Sure, some of the what has transpired may look circumstantial but more often than not, if something looks like a rat, acts like a rat and smells like a rat, then most probably it is a rat.

My bullshit detector is going berserk on this one.

Without reading all the threads 2 things seem clear to me.

1. He was given a barcode by a hawk member to help him out.

2. He sold a barcode to a hawk supporter.

The order of these don't matter and posters can form their own opinion as to the morality involved.

But as they say, no matter if you put lipstick on a pig - it is still a pig!
 
ok i will try and explain for the last time,
after this, you can believe what you want, each one for there own

i wanted to go to the footy with my mate, who isnt a hawthorn member
so we had to wait until wednesday for tickets for g.a
therefore my code was no good to me i then said this in a thread for tickets
Then got this p.m

So i never asked for money for it, i was offered money for it, so i accepted


Then harquin wrote in a thread that he had 2 codes available, which suited me and my mate fine, because i could by both tickets on the day (monday)


Then because i had a thread about selling on ebay, people thought i had already auctioned them off etc,
When clearly i havent as i am attending the game.

For those people that bring up the richmond tickets, my mum bought them 4 weeks in advance, then my junior footy final got schedualed to be played on the sunday, hence why i needed to sell them,
And of course, wanted something back for $180 spent on those tickets,
ended up getting half back

So take it for what its worth, if you believe me so be it,thankyou
if not, stop wasting your time baggin me, becuase i dont care,
its bigfooty for god sake, go type your comments elsewhere

This is a PM from a poster who I know but will not name rebutting certain points made in post 16

"he (BH23) asked what my offer was... and that was my response... ive remained quiet in threads about this, much now to my frustraton....

also in his first PM he said he was unable to go to the football hence why he was seeking expresions of interest regarding his code...

This is a copy of a PM I received today from a well known and I would call respected poster on this forum. For my own reasons I have left his name out but I suppose can be provided if necessary. We dont need to go into debate but this poster offers a different perspective of BH23 and his personal dealings with him.

Hey Steve - right at the moment I am struggling to service my subscribed threads, private messages and my work let alone new threads and catching up with what went on while I was away for a couple of weeks - however today I did chance upon a thread in the mustard pot regarding this young bloke and suggestions that he copped a caning for being a onselling profiteer.

Last thing I want to do is reopen a can of worms, however after reading Crypty's post I realised that I had indeed purchased the said 6 tickets for the Richmond game from this bloke.

I just want to affirm what he says is true - I paid him $100 or half face value for the tickets plus the cost of sending them to me priority paid.

I only bring this up because obviously the integrity of the bloke has been bought into question, and my experience with him has been first class.

Steve - if you feel that you would like to add any of this to the closed thread - please do, I read the reason for the kerfuffle and I stil don't get it but my experience with this guy was only positive.
