_______________________________________________________
An interesting round of matches coming up this Saturday.

The ABC1 game sees the South's two bitterest rivals go head-to-head at Bellerive Oval.
The Roos held sway for much of their match last week against North before being overrun in the dying minutes to go down.
The Magpies, despite wayward kicking early, disposed of a very inexperienced Hobart side by over 15-goals.
Expect to see some fireworks between the two but a good game is on the cards, Clarence have a tremendous record at Bellerive and Glenorchy will be out to prove they are still a force to be reckoned with.
I'm tipping with absolutely no confidence whatsoever, the Roos to win by 8-points.

Lauderdale hosts its first ever TSL match at Dona Road and a big crowd is expected to pack into the tiny venue.
Lauderdale will be oozing with confidence after registering its first ever TSL win at Youngtown two weeks ago and will be anxious to show their local community down there just how much improvement they have made as a club.
Their opponents North Hobart come into this match with a great confidence boost after clawing their way to an 18-point triumph over Clarence last week.
While I think the Bombers will take the game up to North I think North will just be a little too polished in the end and take the points at a venue that many opposition teams will find very tricky to play at.
North Hobart by 34 points in the end.

Launceston host last placed Hobart at Windsor Park, Riverside on Saturday in what is expected to be a pretty one-sided result.
The Blues will be smarting after being handed a shock defeat by their cross-town rival North Launceston last week and won't be in a very forgiving mood.
The Tigers suffered a disastrous 92-point home defeat to Glenorchy on Good Friday and despite the inclusion of veteran Trent Harvey into the side this week, the lack of experience in the Hobart side will more than likely see a defeat of similar proportions.
Windsor Park is the only venue that Hobart has played on that it has never recorded a victory at, I doubt they will this week either.
It will be a steep learning curve for the young Tiger outfit but one they will benefit from in the long run.
An impressive Launceston outfit to win by 108 points :(

At Youngtown, South Launceston tackle Burnie.
The Bulldogs head into this one on a loss after losing to Lauderdale at the same venue two weeks ago, while the Dockers have been patchy thus far, losing to North Launceston (away) and eventually pulling away from Devonport in the second half for a six goal win at West Park last week.
The Dogs are also a fairly inexperienced side, the Dockers should record a solid win on the road.
Burnie by 49 points.

In the last match of the round, Devonport take on unbeaten North Launceston under the brand new lights at Devonport Oval on Saturday night.
The fledgling Magpies haven't been figured to be amongst the leading teams in this year's competition but fought it out stoicly against Burnie last week while the Bombers have been flying so far, recording two home wins against Burnie and Launceston and playing very slick football.
North Launceston should record their third straight win for the season in this one, the Bombers by 53 points.

Who's your tips for this week? :thumbsu:

Am going for Burnie by 42, Clarence by 22, Launceston by 120, North Hob by 33, North Lton by 50

Clarence will be better for the run last week against the Demons despite fading in the final 10-15 minutes.

Launceston at home coming off a loss always spells trouble for their opponent.

Burnie should overrun South after they got the job done last week against Devonport.

North Hobart looked good against Clarence but much relies on how they start against Lauderdale, a poor start and things could be testy.

North L'ton should have too much for Devonport under lights.

Anyone go to the games today? Any feedback?

Went and had a look at devonport last night and they were good. Every expert tipped them to finish bottom 2 . They will play finals. There is no doubt about that. They will beat an injury depleted Launceston this week. Will be to quick for them.

Really good win for Devonport... Ecspecially with the loss of C.Mcdonald eraly in the game,
and with Beau Sharman Still playing Reserves after coming back from a hamstring They will be boosted with the return of him thiss week you would think....

lauderdale would have won if the game went for 2 more minutes!!!

Nth Hobart would have won by more if they kicked straight. They had 4 points before they kicked a goal.

Also, I think North kicked 7 goals to 2 in the third qtr. Maybe if Lauderdale hadnt of gone missing for a qtr, they might have won.

DeGooyer had a chance to put them in front with 5 minutes to go. Missed an easy shot dead in front from about 25 metres out. They had the momentum at that stage. North kicked in, went straight down and kicked a goal.
Interestingly, the scoreboard was 1 point out in the last qtr. Hudson took a mark 20m out on a 45 degree angle. They scoreboard showed Lauderdale were 6 pts down. The siren went. Hudson is normally a dead eye d!ck. He missed a shot that was thought to have made scores level if he had kicked it.
Lauderdale had plenty of chances.

If little Hitler wasn't running football in Tasmania we all would be much happier..... If

I'm thrilled that hobart improved so much!!!

Absolutely :thumbsu:
Fair effort that, especially after being near on 10 goals down early in the third quarter to come back like they did against quality opposition and get it back to 25 points in the last quarter.
They could've dropped their heads and really chucked it in but their response was very positive.
Most important of all, as a young and inexperienced side, they seem to be learning as they go which is the most pleasing part of all.
This week down at Lauderdale will be the big test, just gotta make sure our second quarters (which have killed us two weeks running) are more tight this week ;)
Pleasing to hear that a good turnout of Tiger supporters made the trip to Windsor Park, a thankyou was given out over the PA by the LFC for bringing a large crowd and good atmosphere apparently.
