Is a gun but injury prone. Will wait for a year or two before i pass a judgement.Needs to be consistent as well.On their day, guys like Gonzo , berdych and co can do the same.

Jeez if he plays like he did tonight I reckon he can win this tournament.
Really punished Nadal, to the point he was making bad errors and the serve, not to nice to face that.

You would have passed on Chris Judd wouldn't you?
How about wait and see? the guy is already 22 with a terrible body. Was injured 11 times in the last 3 years.Makes 1 final and all of a sudden everyone is on his bandwagon.Does it the name Rios ring a bell?

bandwagon? just saying he is a gun, just punished the no.2 in the world.

Thoughts on Nadal? No doubt beaten by a player that could do no wrong tonight but jus in general I just feel he can be beaten.
The way he played, he was unbeatable tonight.Everything went in...i mean EVERYTHING.His volleys were unbelievable as well

Tsonga's a gun, but rather be associated with Ivanovic :thumbsu:

Damn Melbourne!

Great serve, and moves around court like hes in slow motion, if he can stay fit , will challenge the best for a long time.

Nice.

The most incredible tennis i've ever seen tonight. If he plays like that in the final he will take it in straight sets.

Anyone that didn't see it would think you're on drugs, but guaranteed, if he does play like that on Sunday, no one, not even Federer, will have a hope.

Oh I don't know about that.

Federer's best would be able to match that (because the shot making is and serving is comparable), so it just might be a 5th setter if that's the case. But saying he won't have a hope is stretching it.

A final against Federer is another thing all together. I remember when Phillipousis blew Sampris off the court and people were saying the same thing.

Roger won't get blown off the court. Federer is still my tip, I've been dissapointed with Djokovic so far in a lot of ways while I think Federer has had his scare and will win the tournament.

Was that the same year that he went on to lose to Mark Woodforde?

Yeah perhaps, but anyone that just watched Tsonga tonight has to still be in awe.

I can barely believe what happened.

lol, probably. My point being that he played almost a faultless game against Sampris who was not far off his best at he time. Tsonga had a night out again tonight but at some point it's going to come crashing down.

yep, it was.

1996 R32 v Sampras 6-4 7-6(11) 7-6(3) :thumbsu:
1996 R16 v Woodforde 2-6 2-6 2-6
