Yeah, that'd be a hell of a shame - he'd almost certainly be a starter in R1, the way he's been playing

Blow the siren! Let's get the season underway already before anyone else gets injured, or I have to write another 200 lines debating off-field crap

****e ****e ****e ****e ****e........
As soon as anyone has any news on the severity of this, could they post!
Oh, and i don't care what people say. Something is seriously up with Subiaco's surface. How many have been done on it the last few years?

I nearly choked on my toast when I read about Tuckey injuring his knee! I hope that it was just a knock to the knee with a bit of pain and wasn't a serious tear to the knee's ligaments.

That's really bad news. I liked Tuckey when he was at the Pies and I really hope he makes it with u guys. He was under used by the Pies, but that was mainly because of Rocca, Tarrant, Molloy and Fraser. He'll be more than useful as one of the main targets up forward. A handy back-up ruckman also...

Looks like Tuckey could be out for around 6 weeks. It's still not 100%, but that's what the doctors are saying at the moment.

6 weeks is bad but when you put it up against a season for an ACL injury its a ****ing relief. Where did you find this out?

Very dissapointing for Tuckey.

He had obviously worked increadibly hard over the pre-season, and was desperate to make the most of his second chance.

Hope he recovers quickly and gets antother chance to gain selection in the side.

Well im just relieved it wasnt an ACL..... i think Tuckeyis good enough to come back and get a game, he has impressed everyone in the preseason. Good point though that Morrison should be coming back at just about the same time.

So is it definate he will be out for round 1?

As surely that weakens your goal kicking options a fair bit?

I mean forward talls are already scarce - whose gonna play forward?

Kuepper if I was you I would be more worried about who is going to play up forward for Freo. Clive is out for the season and Jeff Farmer is suspended. I'd say that leaves Freo a bit short up forward. So thanks for your concern, but to be honest with you im really concerned that Freo will struggle to kick goals ::D

It wasnt even certain he would get a game come round 1. You have more to worry about Sabre as Waterhouse and Farmer were certainties to play if healthy.

We'll still win and you will still owe me $20 bucks! :D

- Willow at FF & Gardy at CHF. Two very big guys, who can take a very strong mark.
- And anything they don't mark will be crumbed by Fido and Merenda.
- Plus Andrew Embly will be floating around somewhere (I know you don't rate him, but he is a danger).
- Plus our dominant midfield will chip in with a few.

P.S. The Avatar - Pure Genius.

Its also been rumoured that McIntosh will spend an increased amount of time up forward if the defence can prove they can function without him. He may not be a prolific goalkicker, but he is fast and can take a strong mark, so he could pose a defensive nightmare.

i wonder what that'll mean for Tuckey, considering that the person he's replacing (Morrison) should be back at about the same time

Dont forget that Read will be out now so he can be added to the injury list which allows us to keep Tuckey promoted off the rookie list (I hope)

I'm not sure how that works though - didn't Essendon have a similar problem with Damien Peverill last year? They elevated him off the rookie list then had to put him back, even though he was one of their best players by that stage.

Can anyone enlighten me on this?

Yeah I think that their situation was that they had players who they took off the injury list and therefore Peverill had to return to the Rookie list.
