im comfortable with it because, as ive always maintained, Cartlon getting judd is a win, Carlton not getting judd, we still win (kruezer, cotchin & keep kennedy)

GO BLUES!!

Absolutely correct. We know what we are willing to pay and not willing to pay. If the price is unreasonable we'll just walk away and take our chances in the PSD, and keep picks #1, #20 and Kennedy and the Weagles get nothing. No problem. If we pick up Judd in the PSD it would be an amazing outcome. :)

hahah im the same ive got exams in 3 weeks and havent opened the books yet. i swear im gonna put in special consideration.

just make sure you put down in the problem section the following illness!!!

Post Football Season Hysteria.............should get you until probably the start of next year!!

I wish both clubs could concede a little. Instead of using the media and absoultely refusing to budge, i wish they could each say, we'll start here, and work our way into the middle. That's what will happen anyways, but i wish this could have been done in a nicer way. Both sides are being very stubborn. It's in their best interests to deal with eachother

I like the way carlton are dealing with this. Its interesting to read that it looks like if he goes into the PSD our capability of paying judd 1m for the first 2 years will be out of richmonds reach. We are in a good position atm IMO.

This threat could back fire on the blues. I think the reason why Judd picked Carlton over Collingwood when it came down to two clubs is because he knew that Carlton had the adequate compensation to trade with West Coast without any dramas.

If Carlton tries to get Judd for far less than what he is worth despite being capable of offering close to what he is worth then West Coast may not take the deal on principle.

When the deadline comes at the end of Tuesday West Coast will probably will start to deal with Collingwood knowing that Judd would be OK with going there. Collingwood may not be able to offer West Coast what Carlton could, but they may accept it on principle.

Not really. Judd wants to get to the blues. The Tigers picking him up would be a mistake. If Judd had said I don't mind, or I will be happy where ever I end up, or some such thing then I could see Richmond mortgaging the farm, striping players salaries and firing a few blokes to get him in. But doing this to your team when he doesn't even want to be there is football suicide.

Really? The same as you picking up Stevens when he wanted to go to Collingwood?

If you don't deal, he will go to Richmond.

Nick stevens never actually said he wanted to go to collingwood, it was the media just like they have done with judd sayin it was his preferred club.

No way mate. Judd is not going to decide his future on weather a deal can be done quickly or to make sure the Eagles are happy. He wants to play for Carlton

Yer good point... Whether West Coast would be willing to deal with Collingwood is another issue..

I agree that it may not be main reason he would chose a club, but if he was 50/50 on which club to go to. He would chose the club that he can go to without any problems with the trade.

Collingwood can't offer anything close to Pick 3 and JK without trading away their most promising youngsters which they won't do.

West Coast will eventually deal with Carlton, otherwise they'll have to explain for the next 20 years to all their supporters how they managed to lose the best player in the country for nothing whilst Pick 3 and JK turn into potentially great players for Carlton.

I expect to see about another week of WC claiming "We want Pick 1" bullshit, till at about 1:55pm on Friday afternoon Pick 3, JK, Pick 20 for Judd and Pick 31 (WC probably won't use this pick anyway, so I'd expect them to send it to Carlton).

Im all for this.....Kruezer and cotchin!! Whos this judd guy again, have not heard much about him, is he a good player??:D
Its a real win-win for the blues Get judd or not get judd and get kruez and cotch

This is a shallow threat by the blues and wont have any substance.

Deadline my backside. Who the hell do you guys think your trying to intimidate. Judd is there for YOU to lose and the way your going you just might lose him

Again, West Coast will buckle becuase they will not lose him for nothing. God, I am getting so sick and tired of repeating myself.

Then I get Nick Stevens thrown in my face, saying that he came to Carlton due to Port and Collingwood not being able to come to terms. And then I say, take a look at these players that got to the club they wanted to:

Brad Ottens
Nathan Brown
Peter Bell
Des Headland
Anthony Rocca
Gavin Wanganeen

These are just some of the players that I could think of off the top of my head.

^ I believe Jade Rawlings finally got to his 'preferred' destination.
Didn't he get thrown to the Dogs and then ended up at Kangas where he chose?

Whats so stupid about all this speculation is that people forget Judd has to sign a contract wet toast can negotiate with who ever they like but it wont help 1 zac when judd refuses to sign the dotted line.

Same for the PSD why would you take a player who wont sign or play for you ?

Well don't keep repeating yourself, if you are repeating yourself it will be because nobody is acknowledging what you are saying, well i'll meet you halfway.

You may very well be right that west coast will buckle and if they do then you have no need to worry, but, It is by no means a for gone conclusion that they will.

Yes most players probably do get to the team that they would like to go to, but, it is also true that a few don't

A surprising tactic by the Blues and Judds management. I agree, they must be very confident of picking him up in the PSD. If the Weagles reject pick #3 and #20, then we'll take them AND Judd as well. The Weagles have little choice, because they can't trade with anyone else without Judds permission. We hold all the cards. :)

Exactly 100% spot on parrot.
Two things will happen next week. Either Judd will be traded to Carlton for compensation, or he will walk into the PSD and West Coast will get nothing for him.

I was Nisbett or Woodhouse, I know which option I would rather go with.

You seem to think it is Carlton making the threat.
Read it properly.

Judd and his management are believed to be desperate for the Eagles and Carlton to strike a suitable trade within 36 hours of the trade period starting on Monday morning.
The 24-year-old, who told coach John Worsfold that he wished to be traded to a Melbourne club after the Eagles' loss to Collingwood last month, before nominating the Blues as his club of choice, is eager to avoid a drawn-out saga.
Judd's manager Paul Connors has an excellent record of getting departing players to their requested club and is monitoring negotiations. It is believed he will strongly advise West Coast not to delay any dealings that would jeopardise Judd going to Carlton.

Read my sign.
Judd doesn't want WCE to screw the Blues either, and I'm sure being a humble fellow will feel that pick three is probably enough, let alone 3 + 20 or Kennedy.

He will see WCE claim of pick 1, 3, 20 and Kennedy as being greedy and selfish, and may have led to these statements.

Its is more likely Judd will burn WCE, not Carlton in this deal.

They should trade or lose him to Tiges or Blues for nothing.

We win either way.:thumbsu:

Judd + pick 1 + pick 20 or Kennedy........(i.e. trade pick 3 + 2 or Kennedy)

or
Pick 1, 3, 20, and Kennedy. (NO trade)

or

Judd + pick 1 + 3 + 20 + Kennedy..........by far the best option via PSD............I would take a couple of days off work if this happened.:)

Judd will be at Carlton next year. There is nothing more surer.

Adam Hartlett is wearing #23. I considered #23 aswell as all champions across the world usually wear that number, but IMO he should get #2 or #7. I know they're taken, but just an opinion.
