I know the old saying that a true supporter would go to the ground to watch, but owing to medical reasons my husband and I are unable to do that, so we have to rely on the TV.
What I would like to know is - does anyone find the 'new coverage by cameras' as spruked by Ch 9 and 10 any better than that of Ch 7. I personally cannot see any difference.
In my opinion it is no different. We still don't see any more of the game than before.

Being from Tassie I have to rely on TV and radio to watch the match. Believ it or not there is actually quite a big eagle following in Tassie and i think that if they cant telecast the match on tv they should atleast beable to listen on free to air radio!!!!! So far i havent seen one game and i dont think i get to see a match till like round 11..It really irritates me. Channel 9 and 10 were sposed to air more intersate teams in Tassie but so far this has not happened!!! I am so disillusioned!!!

It's worse from an overall perspective. There's a tendency to run a replay of a passage of play when the game has restarted, and to zoom in too close to the players or ball (although this was probably deliberate for the Sydney-Roos game, to crop the giant "Nine is Evil" sign behind the goal).

Remember seeing the passage of play in the WCE-Collingwood game where Cousins slipped in the Collingwood game and they scored a goal - the camera was end-on, you couldn't work out where the hell he was initially.
