TV in Eastern States

I caught a 3 second bit of vision of Michael Smith (Chairman of the Eagles) saying that the Eagles have made a formal complaint to the AFL regarding the PITIFUL free-to-air TV coverage of the Eagles (and indeed the Dockers) into the Eastern States this year.

Hope it makes a difference.

otherwise for all you other eastce, i'd just head to our "home" at the redback if you can, they take the fox feeds.

good to hear the eagles are concerned about it.
As luck would have it I will get to see the eagles tiger game on free to air this Saturday in Townsville. That's because the lions play Saturday night. This will be the second game I will see this season....the next broadcast game is against Carlton I think?
I am now coming back to Perth for a week in late June, and there is a game on in Perth that weekend of June 29,30 that I would like to go to, but as I get married on the 28th (3rd time lucky)...it might be a bit too early to request the afternoon off and go to the footy -perhaps I should have made it one of my preconditions in the proposal. Also am not sure how easy it is to get tickets now?

Think of the romantic angle - Subiaco Oval on a wintry Sunday afternoon, thrashing the living bejesus out of the invading Adelaide Crows.

If there's anything to her, she'll probably want to take in a WAFL game on the Saturday afternoon too.

Thank god for Michael smith!! I totally agree...Im in tassie and we dont even get the game on radio most of the time! This weekend will be the first time this season that the Eagles game is shown on free to air tv! But Collingwood and Hawks matches get shown every weekend! It annoys me alot that I have to wait almost two months to see any eagles matches!

Yep, coverage has been pathetic over here. The richmond game will be the first eagles game to be televised in melbourne this year, and it will be on delayed telecast

We don't get radio coverage of our home games either.
