my fave is maggi chicken flavoured

but i understand lots of people put the flavour sachet in the water? what the

i think thats wasteful and i add it straight to the noodles..i would say this is the way real men take their two minute noodles!!

does anyone else have it like this ..or am alone in the wilderness again?

YUMMMMMMMM!!! I luv chicken and corn Maggi noodles.

For breakfast i cook them in the saucepan and add the flavour when the water is boiled but at night before bed i have them differently and boil the kettle, crush the noodles in a bowl, put the flavour on then pour boiling water on and mix them!

I used to live on the damn things - and when I had them, I had beef and I would add the satchet to the noodles when I had drained out most of the water - kept some water coz I liked to have that with the noodles. Can't eat them anymore, anyway...at half time of the 2001 grand final, I was feeling well enough to eat...nerves weren't too bad...so I cooked some up but the nerves came back and I was sick...so ever since, I have felt sick when I even smell them and I am reminded of the 2001 grand final. :(

I've lived on the things before - like when I've had a few big bills at once or wasted my fortnightly salary in a week:eek: .
Like BomberGal, I drain most of the water away before adding the sachet to the noodles. But like Grinder, I go for the Maggi chicken.

try draining the noodles when theyre aldente'...then add a little butter to moisten up...cant beat a moist chicken noodle hey..then add the chicken sachet and mix it all in good and proper...

its man's man of maggi 2 minute noodles..

Maggi 2-minute noodles?

Bah.

There's only one noodle product worth eating - and sadly, they are hard to find on Australian shores... :(

hello my fellow instant noodle fine diners...

yeah... agree... noodles are my bread & butter..

just pop into any asian grocery shop...

and pick up some fiery Korean instant noodle packs...Shin
Ramyun is the best stuff... its f*ckin spicy.. i usually add half the seasoning, and the noodles are the best tasting/quality instant noodle... easy to recognise red packaging with that big black character...

yes... and the best way to cook instant noodles..
is to not 'cook' them..

i used to use a saucepan and put boiling water.. add noodles.. add flavour..etc etc...

but, the ideal way to cook them is to just get a bowl.. put your noodle in there... add flavouring (can do it at the end if u want).. pour boiling water in the bowl, and cover the bowl with a plate...

let it sit for 2, 3 mins... and then stir around.. and it should be ready to eat....

when u boil in the saucepan, u easily overcook the noodle, turns sloppy... which is not good..

Hmmmmmmmmmm I might try that. I suck at cooking 2 minute noodles. :D

Does anyone ever follow the "microwave" directions for two-minute noodles? Now there's a sign that one is completely and utterly lazy...

By the way, I oughtta go nuke some up right now. :D

Cheers,
William

Yup, that's pretty lazy Y_I. I haven't seen the types posted by Coxon. We have "Ramen" here in the US, and William I'm sure you recall those from your college days.

The best way to make them is to boil the noodles - then drain all the water. Add the flavor packet with a dollup of either cream or fat-free sour cream. Mix that up. Adds a whole new dimension. You almost believe you're not eating something that costs a nickel per truck load.

Yes, I recall them all too well. And "Top Ramen" at that, too! :)

A very necessary staple of any college or uni student's existence or survival.

However, for a bit more of a gourmet taste, what I like to do with the noodles is drain the water, add the flavor for taste, then add some egg over the top, either fried, scrambled or hard-boiled. Now that's a meal! :D:p

But I'll try the sour cream method. Sounds tasty.

Cheers,
William

Fantastic Noodles, in the cup, Chicken & Corn. Doesnt get better than that.

If i have two minute noodles cooked in a saucepan it has to be maggi oriental.

I don't use any water. I just rip her open, sprinkle the flavor on and munch it like an oversize biscit.

I also get the chocolate muffin or cake mix, mix it up and just eat the mix without cooking it. It tastes better that way.

There is no equal to Mi Goreng. Instant 'fried' noddles.

Probably the worst for ya, but who cares!

My favourite is chicken flavour but I have to admit to adding it to the water as the flavour travels through the noodles more that way in my opinion!!

Cheers!!
