Not sure yet.

Hybrid would be my main reason for goin'.

Hybrid were pretty good. You must check out Lucien Foort. Best progressive set ive heard full stop. Awesome tunes. BT was excellent as well. And Koma and Bones.

Adelaide's been and gone? Wicked give us the full report Macca.

I'm suprised BT was good..was very scared about him after his very cheesy album.

The first time I ever caught Lucien Foort at Slinky 02 he played the coolest ****ing set Id heard in a long time...had the whole room goin ballistic.

Yup been and gone mate and not sure whether it will be back here again despite it being confirmed for next year.

They were holding at the Planet nightclub, the Warehouse bbehind it and the lane alongside. On the day the warehouse got cancelled due to *cough* "liquor licensing problems"...or in other words, not enough tickets sold so they didnt bother.

Dissapointing crowd...1000 would be a close approximation after most people expected a few thousand. Didnt help that Stardust was held on the same night so all the DnB and Hard House crew went to that leaving the small but tightknit Prog/Breaks, Tech and House crews.

Musicwise it was the best damn night out ive ever had in Adelaide before.
Got there around 11ish, walked around for 20 minutes sizeing up the place before parking myself for Koma & Bones. They played a very nice Breaks set with the two guys playing back to back. Lotsa Proggy breaks, big beats and cool basslines. Youll like em Shane.

Next i caught the first hour of Hybrid, who of course, played a wicked set. A lot darker than i expected but the crowd grew for them and everyone seemed to love it.

I then went and got prime position for BT while catching the last part of Tomcraft, who by all accounts played the underdog set of the night. BT was late coming on but he seriously played one ****ing awesome set. Lotsa big **** off breaks and played most of his well known songs like Dreaming, Flaming June but dissapointingly no Mercury & Solace. Played a few tracks off the Free*Land album too. Overall he drew the biggest crowd of the night and everyone loved it. A lot better than i expected. Dunno bout it being live tho. He seemed to just mix tracks on his laptop and fiddle around with a few synth and sample boxes. He got into it too, really got the crowd going, yelling, jumping around.

Left his set with 30 mins left to catch Lucien Foort who went on to play the best god damn mother****ing set ever. Techy Trance, real bass driven Prog, and some damn nice Breaks tracks too. If he plays the same set in Melbourne everyone will go mental. Sadly I was only one of about 15 people dancing too him but he interacted with us dancers very well. Cool bloke and killer DJ. Seriously best set ive heard live. Every track was a bomb, all the local DJs and Chris Lawrence were watching behind him and they were goin mental too him too.

Caught half hour of Chris Lawrence before leaving around 5:30.

Excellent music, crappy crowd and the organisers did some very dodgy things during the night. Futureshock cancelled, Warehouse wasnt used, tickets were sold for $40 at the door (which ****ed a lot of people off) but all in all i had a great night.

Its already confirmed for Entertainment Centre next year but i dunno how it will go. Unless they specifically put some Drum n Bass acts and Hard Dance acts on the bill for Adelaide then another measly crowd will turn up as sadly, 60% of Adelaides dance crew is Hard House, 30% Drum N Bass (i like DnB tho) and the other 10% the other genres combined.

Ill definately be heading to Melbourne for next years.

Still not sure If Im going..waiting on work and my soft **** friends

I'm glad BT played alright..had me really worried. As long as he drops some classics I should be happy...and if he plays plenty of breaks Ill enjoy it for sure.

Hybrid seem to have gotten a bit darker but they still rock. They are still the main reason Im going.

Nu Breed and Sean are probably better than most internationals so no harm in seeing them either. I also have a feeling Kasey (and probably about 50 others) play Chables sweet new tune 'Melburn' - will be quite apt for the event Id say ;)

Will check out Koma and Bones on your advice!

Not suprised to hear about Lucien...he packs out his gigs here...very cool man and popular style.

You have to come here for Sashas return this year and John Digweed/Jonathan Lisle*

*my fave dj at the moment by a mile

I most certainly will do!!

Amazing night :)

Musically Hybrid were outstanding, set of the year for mine.
Hearing them play classics such as 'Blue Monday' and 'Smack My Bitch Up' and unleashing a good 80% of prog breaks in their set really hit the spot with me.

BT was very promising before I had to leave as I had to work today :(
A packed Rod Laver floor/stands/arena to a big name international is one hell of a cool sight with music that clear AND loud and those stunning visuals behind the dj's.

Nu Breed also kicked some ass but that's to be expected as Macca would back up!

A shame all the overdoses by the ****wit candy rave brigade will tarnish the event because everything else was done really well by Future Ent.

So you are a raver.

People who mix drugs with GBH deserve what they get.

I enjoy a good drinking session, I've had the odd drug, I love electronic music...but I'm not a raver.

Not worth explaining to people not in the scene the difference.

PS Although I prefer more intimate club settings to see my musical influences, there is no harm in several thousand people joining you for a bit of a boogie to a quality dj or live act - whilst most of these people are drug ****ed, large scale dance events is generally one of the friendliest and safest places on any night out in Melbourne :)

Thought you were more open minded than that Frosties!

Vitalic and Green Velvet were sensational in Melbourne.

And the g rocked aswell. :o

Hehe.

My brother was going to go (in Perth) but I'm pretty sure that was the day of the BDO. So he took me to the BDO instead, aww what a sweet brother ;).

People who dont know the actual name for a drug should really shut up as they prove they dont know what they are talking about. Just like the Herald Sun did.
