where are you from rufus?

i hear that Therry have had a heap of numbers on the track and are looking alot stronger than in the last couple of years, also Nobs once again are struggling to throw a competitive team together tho with tristan joss somewhere near the helm they cant go too far wrong

xavs and bernards always go well here but just can't see them ever winning a flag with their 2s sides

rumours are Aquinas to be strong with lots of 2nd&3rd year players

think they will be up there

Has anyonne noticed the dodgey fixtures that have been handed out in our grade? refer to round 5 only 6 out of 11 teams play on march 10:confused:

any1 know the deal?

bernards have already won a flag in this section and am sure xavs would have too

freaktown are u a therry man??? heard u have some new talent down there and are lookin the goods?

yeah used to play down there and have heard they have some very good new recruits from some local district sides, definelty looking the goods especially if not too many play ones footy

old geelong have put in an U/19s side for the first time in seven years. cant say much about them yet but who are the usual front-runners in this division?

westbourne were good last year but arent sure how many players they have kept. nobs, fitzroy and rupo will struggle. i think ivanhoe will be alright

g'day all,i'm xava and it looks like the 2s side will have an alright teasm this year... a lot of good players in the under 19s squad which could mean a lot of people coming in and out of both sides imo.. could have a strong side, although I am really unsure as to what the opposition will be like

front runners in the last few years have been fitzroy but now that theyve moved up westbourne and mayb aquinas are looking the good aswell as probably emmaus who had a very young side - talk is that therry who have had really young sides over the past few seasons are looking to hit their straps aswell

Going from last year the teams to beat are Reds Westbourne and bernards and also xavs who were fairly handy. Though I do think tht the Reds team is now a 2nd 18 so i dont think they will be much chop.

I know tht rupo rnt much chop aswell as bernards smashed them by in excess of 20 goals last weekend.

Ive also heard tht NOBS were given a hiding by an U18 team from Weribee a couple of weeks back, so sounds like they will be just as poor as they were last year.

So for the rest, i think Therry r going to have to step up and aswell as Stleos. Ivanhoe will be fairly decent as there seniors are a Top grade club but the new boys from Geelong will find it difficult i think (will prob make me look like an idiot).

My Ladder...

Westbourne
Xavs
Therry
Bernards
Ivanhoe
Stleos
Geelong
Rupo
Nobs
Reds

just on that you've got ivanhoe mixed up with old ivanhoe(whose 1s are in A grade), i believe Ivanhoe Afc's 1's are in D2 or around the mark

how are bernards looking Champ?

bernards starting to get decent numbers on the track although havent had much game practice so may start off the year slowly

My tips for this week

Nobs just over Reds - will be interesting how a reds 2nds side holds up

Ivanhoe over bernards purely on home ground advantage

Og at Rupo just on the unknown factor

xavs in a tight one with therry missing a chucnk of their side

Westbourne to smash Leo's out a hoppers - tough ground to get a win at and Wests will come out firing

Aquinas to flex their muscles against a solid bye

will aquinas be fielding a team this year?

Oh and MikeHunt the boys from the pit arent looking to bad, will be interesting to see how they perform with quite a few number of new players.

How are the therry boys looking this yr...are you guys missing any due to overseas cricket trips this year again

Aquinas will be fielding a side this yr. Theyre coached by former aquinas senior player Bobby Moran and consist mostly of Aquinas students of 2007. Im sure the clearances show that a lot of them come from the efl.

Xav 2s are looking stronger with a huge amount of blokes at training last night.. we were told at training last night 67 players are listed to play all up, making it very hard to get a consistent game in the 2s... dunno if this will be a good thing for ppl to be workin hard for a spot, or if its a very bad thing in that the team will not be playing together with the same ppl often

im sure that would be a good thing as there will be pressure to maintain spots

My Tips for this weekend...

Nobs to get off to a good start and beat Fitzroy by 8 goals

Bernards to beat the new Ivanhoe boys by 2 goals

Old Geelong after a long drive to smash Rupo by 10 goals

Xavs to beat Therry by 4 goals

Westbourne to beat Emmaus by 6 goals
