There's about 4 games of footy [Rd 1] just days after the concerts were due to be on.If the turf was stuffed,then the AFL would be up s**t creek without a paddle.

Exactly, no MCG... if the dome was messed up then it would've been a shocker.

It also means that the ground won't just be 'passable' after a quick recovery, it'll be in good nick after a proper preparation (or at least they have the opportunity to give it a proper prep and get it in as good nick as possible). Which for me, is a good thing as it offers less chance of moving turf, less chance of guys slipping, and less chance of unnecessary injuries.

The AFL will be quite happy about this.
