Id like to try and keep 10 teams, I think 8 is too small and not as fun.

Id also like to continue playing 2 rucks and see how the situation pans out for this year.

Seeing as this thread is open and i'm not sure if others will read the other thread, I'm going to put this here for why we should go to 8. Or at least find active players and stay at 10.

I've timed out twice, one I got Libba though which is not a bad forced pick since he will probably dominate next year haha. The second time was NOT MY FAULT.

Prior to your prompting of your mate to post in our forum, this was the last time he posted (according to thread search) in our league. Note the date Mar 19, 2015 - Almost a year. That is 0 times in season. Ironically it talks about how he timed out twice... This is the reason I don't think inactive players should be in our league. We don't need placeholders. You can play with your mate in your friends league, not a league that is meant to be for active players. If you can find 10 committed players, then i'd vote for 10.

Here are my reasons for 8 teams (Nothing personal against CC)
- We presently have 8 teams in the league, as CC has not joined. That means we don't take the risk on another new inactive player (like last year).
- What is not fun is having someone join our league last season and post 0 times in our forum in almost a year (19th of March), that subsequently does not add to the league. I will give that he was playing until around May when he stopped getting FA, like many others.
- Last year people lost interest and effectively quit midseason because their teams got into a hole and their was no decent FA to fix their teams. With 8 teams their will be more ready made FA, including more in the Ruck.
- When people drop out, trading is limited. Towards the end of the season there were only 3-4 people actively playing and trading. Waiting 8 weeks for a trade response, before just giving up on the idea is ridiculous.
- Teams stopped updating and covering donuts in their side, meaning due to the luck of the fixture, some teams got huge percentage boosts as their opponent did not update their side.

If removing these issues makes the league 'not as fun' I guess I don't know what FUN is...

I'm happy to stay with 10 if they are an active 10. I just have reservations after last year.

But 0 times in season. Even you have to admit that's not great. Are you CC. (joke) TBH that is another reason I don't like it, because we are all strangers, except you 2 which is a wrinkle in the league. There is no ability for us to collude and I think that makes it a more even league. You should not have to 'have a chat with him' he should either be active and play or stick to posting great articles on the main board. On last years evidence I'm concerned. If this was JoeBlow member I don't know if you'd be as strong on wanting to retain him.

I'm sure I could find 1 or 2 friends from my mates league to join, who are active here on the board, but I don't think that is a great look for our league + I already beat them in our league, no need to do it twice

Even when after 1 year, posts 0 times in a whole season, was timed out multiple times in a draft, and has posted once at Azza's request... I just don't get it at all. We should be actively finding good active players, and not settling for mediocrity.

Why would I that's why we have leagues with our mates and defeats the whole original purpose of this game. I don't get it. If the league is the way it is last year, what's even the point. Without my trade prompting their was maybe, 5 trades in total. That's because we settled on players not that interested. With the ppl that left we have maybe 3 other people who are genuinely active. The rest don't real give a stuff. I might just join that group. I'm not going to post any more about it preseason, I'll just wait and watch.

Look - I think eight teams is too few. Everyone will have a monster squad, and there will be a lot more luck involved as you try to guess which player going at 85 is going to monster it that week.

Let's keep ten teams and as many of the originals as possible, and add committed people to those that pull out.

OR start the keeper league again with new players, rules etc.

I feel like we're trying to do contradictory things.
