Umpiring Idea

Hi all. i was just wandering what people would think about having teams of umpires for each game. Eg. having goldspink, mcclaren and kennedy umpiring together every week. This way it could maybe make it easier to get some consitency in each game. we all know that umpiring these days is all about interpretation and if we have the same umpires working and training together each week could be the beginning of getting some consitency back into our game.
You could even have teams of 5 or 6 umps and only the 3 best make the team just like an actual footy team.
i can see this getting shot down in flames but i thought id see what everyone thinks anyway.

For better discussion, probably best putting the suggestion on the main board.

I wouldn't like it by the way. Umpires will and always will be inconsistent white/yellow/green... maggots.

Yes better post for the main board but the idea isn't that bad in principle but would lead to easy bagging of particular umpires. "oh great we've got team B umpiring, it's not fair Brisbane always gets Team C and Weagles always get Team A which are much better" etc etc. It may cause more problems for the AFL.
