I have noticed a disturbing trend recently with umpire decisions and our away form. It seems when he get a bad run, which only seems to happen in Melbourne coincidently (Vic umps playing to the crowd), we just give up and roll over. It happened in the wiz cup final in the 2nd quarter when the Blues got a few bull**** decisions and we just dropped out bundle. Then today when Mark 'not-an-umpire's-jockstrap' Fraser didn't bring that bounce back our players just seemed to say well, there is no point trying because they are just going to give them the game. Maybe I am being a bit harsh but it just seems when these decisions go against us (in away games) we always seem to loose all momentum and just kind of give up.

Mark Fraser should be shot, his bouncing is appalling.

as an eagles supporter we were lucky to get away with quite a few as well, ie matera ripping someone's head off, then managed put the arm over the shoulder when on the ground and it was called holding the ball in his favour. The bounces were attrocious but we lost because collingwood kept pressuring and that hasn't happened too often this year. Umpiring wise its always hard not to be oneeyed but if anything I think we were marginally better off in the final washup (yes the goal should have been brought back, not that it would have changed the outcome)

Full credit to the pies, not the usual return from the second tier players this week and we paid the price, but don't somehow think that the dodgy bounces. Just shows how even the competition is this week, as of the end of the brisbane match i'm 1/5 in the tips due to the continued upsets. Actually would be worth going to the tab and just betting on all the unfavoured teams given the rate its been going.

Yes i agree with that although nick maxwell's mark one handed in exactly the same spot was a whole load of crap as he never controlled it for one second. Though both decision were paid because umpire was blind sited

It was a free kick anyway for holding his arm.
