So I'm heading to uni games this year with some mates playing mixed netball and handball.
Was wondering If anyone on here is going? or has been before, knows any tips, are girls easier to pick up while there?

Will be heading to AUG's in September hoping to play footy if my uni ends up having the numbers for a team. Other option was to play Southerns which are on next weekend, but don't sound nearly as fun somehow. Do they have regional uni games in Perth? Like Easterns/Southerns?

I think so, but as stated don't sound nearly as fun. Wish I lived on the other side of the country, I have to fly to brisbane because flying direct to GC is twice as much! Were are you guys staying?

Not sure yet, my uni is traditionally slack with organising these things. I've heard some horror stories about some uni's having to sleep on gym floors and things like that so I hope there's nothing like that going on.

Opening ceremony is supposed to be epic every year too.

A lot of uni's will ask for extra players for some sports in the lead up so don't stress too much.

Mate, just do 10 pin bowling or something. It's all about the social calendar, the sport is just an aside!

i don't reckon footy would be one of the better sports to play - you're gonna be hungover to **** and running around is not the go, even if the comp is only played half arsed.

you also want sports where there are chicks - squash, tennis, handball, lawn bowls, netball, softball, hockey, basketball etc,.

less stressful sports with breaks (we hit squash up) are also desirable as they offer good socialising opportunities while playing.

I used to play competition and honestly apart from no jumping to catch, I can't either, it got pretty physical at times, few broken noses.
