Jordan's Bulls never beat a full strength Lakers teams, either did Russell's Celtics, so how can you compare?????
i challenge anyone to top this move...
UN-damn-STOPPABLE!

then with all due respect, how can you say they are the best of all time?

Because the world voted, and the world voted the Lakers team of 1987 as the greatest of all time. And who am I to argue, especially went the decision went in my favour.![]()

Well by that logic how can you claim the Lakers were better?
Jordan's bulls have the best record in NBA history over a single season, and won more championships than than Lakers did. That's the comparison I'm making, that Jordan's team was better over the course of one season, and better over the course of their dominant decade.
keep in mind that the lakers were also competing against powerful celtics, pistons, sixers and rockets teams.
the quality of opposition was nowhere near as strong when the bulls won their titles.
Oh that old chestnut... I disagree.
New York, Utah, Houston, Phoenix, San Antonio and Orlando during the 90's were easily the match of the sides in the 80's.
Take the Pistons for example, they had a great back court in Isaiah and Joe, and a great defensive PF in Rodman but compare that to say, Orlando who had Shaq/Penny/Horace/Anderson or Utah with Eaton (great defensive C)/Malone/Stockton or Ewing/Mason/Starks or KJ/Majerle/Barkley.
I just don't buy it that the competition was that much better. Certainly not better to the point that it somehow makes the Lakers achievements equal to, let alone better than, the Bulls.
gimme a break man, those sides i mentioned had at least 4 all stars at all times, and minimum 2 HOF's. id back ANY of those four sides i mentioned to destroy any of the sides you just mentioned. and i mean DESTROY!
if you want to analyze stats, squads and the likes im more than happy to do so over the weekend, but im pretty confident that once put on paper the evidence will be pretty clear.
See, you're just being an idiot.
Tell me the four all stars the pistons always had? Or the Rockets for that matter?
an idiot eh?
at any given stage during the 80's, the pistons had
isiah thomas
joe dumars
dennis rodman
adrian dantley
mark aguirre
bill laimbeer
kelly tripucka
all of whom had a big say in seasons where we at least made the conference finals.
this also doesnt include handy role players like the microwave vinny johnson, john long and james edwards, who were also more than handy players.
the rockets at any given stage during the 80's had
moses malone
rudi tomjanovich
calvin murphy
rick barry
hakeem olajuwon
ralph sampson
elvin hayes
and also had very useful players in john lucas, lewis lloyd, robert reid and rodney mccrae (who also won a ring with the bulls).
ill admit that the bulls would probably have beaten the rockets in a 7 game series, even tho they had noone capable of handling the likes of moses, hakeem and sampson prior to blowing out his knee. likewise the rockets didnt really have a player who could contain jordan, and the rockets swingmen would have been easy meat for scottie pippen.
however the two rockets teams that made the NBA finals in the 80's (the only western conference team apart from the lakers, and blazers late, to make it in that time), would have munched any of the other teams youve mentioned there with the possible exception of the jazz.
Hold up, you said ALL those teams had 4 all stars at ALL times throughout the 80's.
So list who their four were, year by year, from 1980-1989
Rick, you've just been Pwned.
do you're own homework if you want claw your way back.
Sorry mate, but he made the claim all those teams had 4 all-stars at all times, I'm just asking him to back it up - how exactly did I get pwned?
Dumbass.
don't hate on me just cause I am better than you.
My balls are salty and large, juggle em in ur mouth.

i think someone needs a hug?
maybe you can find another peon of similar calibre who might not be afraid to touch you; I as your better, obviously can't. obviously.![]()
Yeah as my better, because you've clearly proved some kind of superior knowledge in this thread, huh.
If you're so confident Mr. "4 all stars per team" is right, how about YOU try naming them from 1980-1989?
Or is that a bit tough for Mr. Genius here?
Awwww, diddums.....

and this is why you're a peasant, you don't even know who you've been arguing with![]()
By the sounds of it, rJ knew exactly who he was talking to.

And that is why no one takes you seriously. Your Basketball knowledge is so incomplete and your field of reference so narrow, and yet you wont listen to people who have been playing, refereeing, coaching or just watching the game for 30+ years.
but rick everyone on here has superior knowledge to you.
