Up for trade and who to pick up

Who is up for trade and who should the football club pick up. Send me your thoughts as to who and what we need to go foward in 2005.

On a personal front, I believe we should trade the likes of Mercuri, Hennemen, Cupido and possible Ben Haynes for some high round draft picks. I believe the most suitable player for us is a midfielder, and the best one going around is Richard Tambling from the Noprthern Territory. With silky skills, a very quick pace and an ambition to come to Essendon, gives the recruiting staff all the more reason to persue this young bloke.

Trade Cupido? You must be Nuts. He is only 21 - 22, and kicked 39 goals for us last year in his first season. Get a pre-season behind him, and he will be right.

I think Haynes is expendable, but we know he can play some good footy. He needs to toughen up and remove turning the ball over from his game.

We are going to need some KP backmen in the next few years.

We have some good young midfielders coming through, but we could do with another one or two.

We have a number of players who can go forward, so I think that area is ok for the moment. Lloyd, Cupido, Hird, Hille, NLM, MJ at the moment, Lucas and a few others like Laycock and Lovett Coming through.

Oh and Tambling is a Mad Essendon supporter

Alot of the blokes touted for trade, Cupes, Alvey, Haynes, Mercs, etc... have not had preseasons and as a result their form hasn't been great. Keep these guys because they are good players, however, why we persist with duds like Henneman (who will probably be brought back in because he did such a stellar job on Neitz (rolls eyes)), is beyond me.

Trade Mercuri?? Are you for real nobody would want him. Hes FINISHED! Hopefully he does the honourable thing and gives it away by the end of the year. THe following players I would consider trading only if the price was right.

Mark Jhonson. (if the player we were getting was worth it then yes)
