Sandown 10/1:

R1, 1: Rubiton Raider

Unlucky at Sandown last start in stronger grade when blocked for most of the straight. Consistent and goes well at track. Expect Mick Price runner Gone Critical to start favourite, however win at Moonee Valley was quite soft. Comes in much better with 3Kg claim for S. Murphy. Hoping for about $3.50 - $4.00 and is a straight out proposition.

R3, 2: Askew

4th at Caulfield last start in stronger company than today. Looked beaten at the 300m but stuck on quite well. Didn't do itself any favours with behaviour in the run and with natural improvement improvement plus the soft hands of Mark Zahra a better performance is expected. Extra 200m definitely in his favour. Very open race so hoping for about $4.50.

R4, 1: Tears 'n' Triumph

Excellent run when second to the aforementioned Gone Critical at the Valley last time. Won 2 from 3 second up, and likes the track. Pretty weak race and well in after claim for Murphy. Hoping for $3.50.

R5, 2: Wildcoast

Honest as they come and this is pretty weak company. Nicely drawn and in the hands of D.L Freedman. Expecting about $2.50 but hoping for better.

I realise that none of these are exactly longshots but I nonetheless think they are all strong chances. I'll be backing them all straight out.

Best bet is Rubiton Raider.

Starz,why the obsession with "10 min before posting"?

If posters are willing to blindly back the tips here,Im sure they dont care where this "tip" came from.Fairly sure if you're betting youve already done the form. If not,then you deserve the luck you'll get.

Unlikely that anyones gunna say "I work for this trainer or the owner's my best mate" so any tip here is quite simply an opinion.Maybe you should say "strength of opinion" cos thats what it really is.

I cant think of anything anyone would say,here or anywhere else that would make me change what I backed. Can you?

Some of you are asking why post tips 10+ minutes before race.
There’s 2 good reasons, if you've been here long enough you should be able to find the answers.

As soon as I saw the one tip by itself and no other info and who it was from… given I saw Ricketts being a bit smart lately, I knew it would be a winner and thus would have been posted within 5 mins of jump.

A quick check proved me right on both counts.
You can alter posts without it saying ‘edited’ within 10 minutes.
That, and everyone knows it’s pointless posting just a horses name only a couple of minutes before jump.

Oh and before i go
R7 Eagle Farm in a few minutes - Terrain should win @ 5.0
After that R7 Newcastle - Tapalinga should be too good for these @ 3.0
