R7 Eagle Farm in a few minutes - Terrain should win @ 5.0
After that R7 Newcastle - Tapalinga should be too good for these @ 3.0

Well they both won, amazing how accurate one can be if they post within a few minutes of the jump.

We’re giving tips, it’s not about personal glorification.
I see it as a common sense rule, i'm sure most people would agree.

Having said that,Im fairly sure that the majority of Punting Board posters had no idea about it & do post genuinely at all times.

It’s more to do with clear tipping with notice.
Just a name and race number within 2 mins of the start is pointless and comes across as guessy.

If we only gave tips we thought would really do well they would be posted in advance.

I see your points here, they tend to make sense.

But how about, if we're only posting one tip for the whole day, that might actually be the horse that we thought would do really well, which is why it's the only one posted, rather than a selection in every race posted in the morning or night before, to me that seems more guessy. After all, betting on every race is a formula for losing.

Morphetville R4 No 1 Bretcarlyle. Will be short, but barring bad luck he's way too good for these.

Sandown 10/1:

R1, 1: Rubiton Raider

Unlucky at Sandown last start in stronger grade when blocked for most of the straight. Consistent and goes well at track. Expect Mick Price runner Gone Critical to start favourite, however win at Moonee Valley was quite soft. Comes in much better with 3Kg claim for S. Murphy. Hoping for about $3.50 - $4.00 and is a straight out proposition.

R3, 2: Askew

4th at Caulfield last start in stronger company than today. Looked beaten at the 300m but stuck on quite well. Didn't do itself any favours with behaviour in the run and with natural improvement improvement plus the soft hands of Mark Zahra a better performance is expected. Extra 200m definitely in his favour. Very open race so hoping for about $4.50.

R4, 1: Tears 'n' Triumph

Excellent run when second to the aforementioned Gone Critical at the Valley last time. Won 2 from 3 second up, and likes the track. Pretty weak race and well in after claim for Murphy. Hoping for $3.50.

R5, 2: Wildcoast

Honest as they come and this is pretty weak company. Nicely drawn and in the hands of D.L Freedman. Expecting about $2.50 but hoping for better.

I realise that none of these are exactly longshots but I nonetheless think they are all strong chances. I'll be backing them all straight out.

Best bet is Rubiton Raider.

I had a stinker also. Rubiton Raider was absolutely travelling at the line but bloody Zahra had pinched it.

Was one of those days where if you like something around 8-1 it won.

I don't mind how many tips someone puts forward, whether it's just 1 or many.
As long as they stay within the rules which includes the timeframe.
