when I was in year 4 I told my teacher maths was pointless. he sent me to the timeout room in the front office, where you have to stay for the rest of the school day when it was about 9:30. the only thing in that room was an atlas. ever since, I have had a fairly useless ability to pretty much know every single capital city and location of most countries in the world.
