Yeah, Hall's pace will be the problem for Wakelin. So, somehow his room to lead must be nullified. O'Loughlin (sp?) also worries me, he seems to pop up and have good games against us.

If it is still raining on saturday night, will this help our hinder our chances?
No doubt it will slow down Sydney's running game, but our tall forwards will also be affected.

It rained for quite a bit during the Brisbane - Sydney game, and Sydneys skills were very good in the wet.

I think it might effect the game a bit, I dont know how Collingwood play in the rain. Sydney seem to do alright.

I think the last time we played in the rain was against Hawthorn, and we were outplayed on that occasion.

I think we usually do ok though, i still remember the Anzac day game last year played in very wet conditions, where we were suburb.

After raining pretty much all day yesterday, the skies have now cleared (well, almost) and the sun is peeping out. More importantly, the forecast for the weekend is fine and dry, although I'm not convinced they ever really do more than guess!

Hopefully it will be a dry game - should make for a better spectacle.

This is going to be huge. Two closely matched teams with everything to play for, both trying to set up their finals campaigns.

Pies will have to mark up well on us to win. Pretty much all the games/quarters where Sydney has been genuinely beaten, their opposition has been very diligent in contesting possessions and disrupting the flowing game Sydney likes to play. We find a lot of space to move the ball around our flanks, so playing on the narrow Telstra Stadium won't do us any favours there either. Tarrant and Rocca are worries for us - hopefully Bolton can follow up his excellent job on Brown last week.

That said, if the Collingwood tagging's sloppy it could well be game over. Once our guys start finding space, stringing possessions together and delivering the ball to our forwards out on the lead over their defenders we can potentially rack up a lot of goals.

I'm expecting both the forward lines to be reasonably dominant over the defenders, with the game to be decided by a midfield armwrestle. The team that's able to deliver the ball to their forwards most consistently out of this midfield battle will take the points in this one. Therefore ruck and clearance domination will be critical for both sides as well. Of course if players on either side choose this week to play a blinder it could potentially tip the match.

A tough one to pick, but the Swans should win it in the end. A close one to the final siren, probably with a fair few lead changes along the way and periods of dominance by both teams. Swans by 9 points.

A little concerned about the use of Sydney, bi, spanking and sheep in the same short post.

Swnas after match aside, Collingwood will win easily enough to claim second spot and go on to beat Port in the Grand Final all the world had to have.

If the pies have one real strength it is an abundance of pace.
No we don't. we are a side of medium paced runners. Shaw is very quick and that is why he is important. Lokan can run and has pace but he's an off the bench player. Holloand has OK pace. Lica, Buckley and Burns are our prime midfielders and are slow by midfield standars.

Sydney may have a bit too much pace for Collingwood.

We definitely are a faster team, and if we can get our run going, then we will be hard to stop.

Sure that is your strenghth.

I guess ours is stoppages and generally strength on the ball. When we get that up and running we too can be unstoppable.

Accuracy in front of the sticks of course will also be vital.

I'm worried about this game, last time they played Collingwood fell alseep and let Sydney get out to a big lead, which was too much for the Pies to run down. And last week Collingwood fell alseep in the Final Quarter, so, we are going to have to play 4 Quarters something I haven't seen us do much this season. I think we could win, but not by a big margin, around 6 points.
