There are 5 teams in the race for the finals, OH, OX, UB, OS, and Marc. After looking at the fixture and the form I think that Marc will bow out and the race will be out of 4. Here is my brief summary of the 5 teams.
OH - Strong team across the board, good key position players O'Farrell, Ford, Waite, Seccull and Jenke in the ruck with some excellent on ballers. One problem is they are starting to suffer with injury, Trollope, Steinfort, Bourke. If they can get their best team on the park they are the one to watch.
OX - Cheats, player payments, ********ers and frontrunners, few can deny they have again put together a team that can go close this year. Their lack of height may be a concern as the grounds dry up but they have quality in the guts with Purss feeding Beardsly, Beetham, Ruyrg??, Arnold and others. Okleshaw and Mollard will add a bit if they return.
OS - Some great form coming into the business end of the season. Plenty of talls, Gerstman, Crow, Wigney, Pugsley and McHarg, reasonable midfield but yet to convince many analysts. If it all clicks they will be in the mix but I think a full strength OH, OX or UB opponent will comfortably account for them.
UB - Can they repeat? I don't think so, they will more than likely have to come from a 1st Semi and they don't have the stellar talent that ran around last year. Although a quick look through their list shows Ace Lowcock, Hayter, Descrespney??, and Gleeson and they may disagree.
Marc - Need to beat OH this week to be a chance and were smashed by them by 15 goals earlier in the year. Can't see them getting there but stranger things have happened, eg Crow won a Woodrow??? I think they will end up 5th, no disgrace after the losses they suffered pre season.
