A good squad that will cause plenty of problems for AFL Sydney I reckon. The only surprise in the squad is Werribee's Cameron Lee. Also Guy Martyn is good choice also, considering the way he played for the Rovers last week when switched to midfield that sparked a 10-goal final quarter for them. I expect OT's Andrew Ramsden to be made captain when the final team is announced, seeing he has experience at representative/State of Origin level for the VAFA. Remember his performance in the 1998 State game in Adelaide against South Australia, and also the rep game earlier that year against Ovens & Murray FL?

Appears to be a plethora or Full Forwards included

Rambo, Bolton, Bromley, Weatherley, Handley, Flaherty, M&M & Taft.

What, no Ben Corin!!!

Astounded that Lachie Hill from OS hasn’t been selected, just come off the Rookie list at Carlton, has missed 1 game through injury and has been arguably best on in every game this year!

I think they've nailed it with Old Essendon's best - Flaherty - he's very versatile, can play forward / back / third man up / in the middle running with OE's ruck. Haven't seen Guy Martyn play for Rovers but our guys were well aware of how good he is and even more so after the game a couple of weeks back.

Congrats to everyone.

No Robbins from Blacks, no Passadoor, no St Bernards, when was the last time that happened re the snowdogs?

Yes, I'm surprised to see no player being represented from St Bernards. Have the VAFA selectors been watching any Snowdogs games lately?

If they're happy to slot Rambo in the squad (which is a tremendous gong at 36 years young), then Danny Byrne couldn't have been excluded due to age. Maybe they don't consider him a 'true VAFA person' after he went to WA to play WAFL? Ditto Passador and Robbins.

Anyhow, a pretty decent squad, but Jase if you think they'll appoint Andrew as captain after not being in the squads for the past 3 years, I think you're underestimating the quality of leaders in the rest of the squad.

Brett Voss would be my tip for skipper.

After watching them on the weekend, other than the already mentioned D. Byrne, none are clear standouts, but there are plenty who play for the team as a team.

Watch this space for the unders state teams. The Snowdogs will be well represented

Have it that Madden and Bryne were to be selected but Byrne not keen and Madden will be OS. I think the snowdogs will be well represented in the unders sides which must be being named soon....

Must be this week if the senior squad has been announced. Probably wise to not annouce them all at once. I know the coaches have been receiving calls about players so it musn't be far away.
