I religiously read the fascinating website of Rogers Results (Michael Rogers) who for many years has compiled a huge treasure trove of interesting stats, facts and figures, and he's been a contributor to Bigfooty and indeed the Geelong page for a long time too, given he is a Cats man as well.

His co-contributor to his site and co-author of the books including Classic Cats ('51-52 Flag) Bruce Kennedy sadly passed away last weekend, August 29th. It was announced as a footnote in the Round 14 weekly stats compilation completed today as Michael does so at the completion of each round. I didn't know him, but certainly a man who was a passionate Cats fan and gave a lot of his time putting his knowledge and insights into print.

Guessing given that Michael said he saw six Cats flags in his lifetime he must have been born sometime in the late 30's or early 40's, hazarding a guess. But certainly a man who deserves credit for devoting his life to Geelong and plying his passion for us to read and enjoy. Vale Bruce, thanks for your contribution to information about the mighty Cats.

Also a long-term member (Treasurer and Committee Member) of the Geelong Cats Supporter group in Canberra. We've since left Canberra, but still get the Canberra Cats newsletters (which is where I first heard about Bruce's passing). The Canberra Cats will definitely miss his presence.
