I will do a nude run if all 3 return home to play for a club in the state they were born in. I am confident all of them will be one club players.Do you believe Reilly, Knights and Van Berlo will be at our clubs for the entirety of their careers?
I mean honestly?
Will the Judd trade involve Judd to Carlton, Gibbs to Crows and Van Berlo and pick 3 to the Eagles?

Van Berlo will eventually go home......................
lol, honestly please chill out, I am just getting thoughts and ideas about the possibility its not meant to provoke anger at me.
You see some comments in here have been interesting like SS_Fury there is no need to take it personally.
I personally see Gibbs as a major win off the field if the Crows secure him to stick it up to the AFL and say see we got our man in the end.
Anyways it will be interesting to see what happens on Monday when all the trade news comes out!
gee that's a brave statement.......you are asserting it will happen next week
We don't disagree here, we would all love to see Gibbs find his way to Adelaide and if all we had to pay was van Berlo then that would be amazing, but most of rate the chances of this happening at about the same level of our chances of securing Judd.
lol
no it may happen next week or it may happen at the end of his career.
lol it may happen that he wants to go home for a holiday for the weekend.!
Oh and Ferris one word for you about good players wanting to return home - Pavlich.
It was important to him to be a one club player, even though Adelaide tried pretty much everything possible to entice him back. Says more about his personal qualities than a certain other captain from a WA team.

Maybe, yes and yes.Do you believe Reilly, Knights and Van Berlo will be at our clubs for the entirety of their careers?

Maybe, yes and yes.
Do you honestly believe that every single player will end up playing in their home state? It's pretty much what you're implying. I would suggest that well over half of the players that get drafted interstate do not end up playing in their home state. The numbers would be interesting.
Hmmm hang on there. Pavlich is a unique, in the sense he is probably going to be offered more money in Perth than in Adelaide from the booming mining industry in endorsements etc.
Adelaide is the most disadvantaged city to live

For every one of those guys you have three that stay loyal to their club. Sure, loyalty is low in the AFL but it's certainly not the case where every single draftee will at some point look to head home.An descent player playing for WA or SA wants to go home. It appears that the exception is that SA does not get descent players wanting to come home!

WA can offer more off field endorsements than Adelaide can currently because of the growth of the mining industry.
Who was the last big name to genuinely come home to Adelaide? Jarman. That was back in the 90's
I will not enter into a discussion of Wayne Carey as it may be defamatory, but there were reasons why he needed to leave Victoria!
