VB is coming on very nicely indeed thankyou.

He'll be the next Mark Bickley of the AFC IMO.

i'd say he's been excellent for the past month. he's been in our best every week since the loss to collingwood.

Notable exception of the Sydney game, knocked out in the first quarter and didnt return.

That game skews his average stats. Remove it, and im willing to bet his average possies are up on last year.

Has VB excelled since he's been released from a pure tagging role (which has been undertaken by Campbell over the past two weeks)?

An asture observer of the game (you know who you are Gazza) reckons this is what has happened.

And if this is what has happened then there's no way Campbell will be dropped. He is now tagger no. 2 after Shirls, and could well take over the no 1 mantle in a few years).

The real bugger is that vB's good form has coincided with a drop in form from Thompson. If we could get the two of them consistently playing well together it would add some serious firepower to our midfield and help us earn some more respect from the Victorian media.

What's the liklihood that we'll ever have co-captains? These two would be prime candidates to be the first if we ever did.

I'd love the respect, but i'd rather be consistently underrated if it helped us slip under the radar. Although, opposition coaches, at least the good ones, would know we were good.

Scott Thompson is an interesting one. He doesn't quite seem to have had the same impact on games now as he did earlier in the year and yet he usually ends up with over 20 touches each game. Not sure if it's because he has become the main target of taggers or whether we've just come to expect more from him now.

I wonder if he can go the next stage and be a tagger who gets plenty of the ball.
