Same here, it you have to much of it on you toast or bread then thats all you can taste.

i dont like it when it is substituted for chocolate in milkshakes though.

How was it?

That marshmallow stuff called Fluff, I think, also looks interesting. Both are expensive though.

You can't go past Vegemite on toasted Bakery bread and spread with enough butter to enduce a heart attack.

Bought that fluff stuff for the kids once...one look on their faces was enough to put me off trying it for life!

Vegemite is wonderful stuff.. course I was born and raised on it, and so were my kids. However, it is brilliant when in the early stages of pregnancy and you can't keep anything else down, try thinly spread vegemite on toast... I practically lived on it.

The snickers spread ain't half-bad. Tastes just like a snickers bar between 2 peices of bread. I will probably enjoy it more when I haven't eaten a whole humpty-dumpty egg ( the one with the smarties in it) beforehand.

Fluff is garbage, had it a couple of years ago. Ya can't even spread it.

I grew up on vegemite but don't eat it now. Its been about 15 years since I last tried it and I doubt the salty taste would go down too well these days.

Hmmm, tasty cheddar cheese and Vegemite sandwiches. On toast, scrumptious. On dry biscuits with cheese, yum. The food you have when you can't be bothered cooking, or there is ****-all left in the cupboard or fridge, or basically anytime you like. Can anyone think of a time of day when it's inappropriate to eat Vegemite?

I'd die without Vegemite. It is a staple of my diet. It also has other uses though:

1) The smell is so strong it will kill off any other smell in the kitchen if the lid is left off.

2) Very useful if you require to hide some green stuff away from people who don't approve of you smoking it. The smell will over-power the smell of the mull. (Trust me I've used it in an experiment against a sniffer dog and won).

3) Provides a perfect way when backpacking to have a deep and meaningful conversation with another Aussie at 8 am after only 2 hours sleep and you're still drunk.

Ughhhh. I had a friend who did this. I thought I was bad with Vegemite - turns out he was worse.

(My dad has it on salad sandwiches. Is this worse?)

I don't eat it much when I'm in Australia but in Moscow I've been eating heaps of it - probably coz it reminds me of home.
