For yrs now, i have been a huge plough fan, ever since one mcg friday night game where we got blown away by the free running doggies in a blitzing last quarter... at the time i thought wow, this guy has got them primed. As silly as it sounds if i had a pick of any coach I still think id go plough over matthews, sheeds etc.

BUT

Im fast losing any respect i had for the guy, hes totally contradicting what hes continually stated in the lead up to the race to sign him. Has clearly said on numerous occassions he wants stability off field, weve given him that with ******** schwabby and casey calling a truce and both giving plough their endorsement. Hawthorn are still bickering with scott, (we love u Don!)

even taking into account our big finacial loss this season and us cutting our salary cap expenditure, we seem to have a lotmore room to maneuvere than hawthorn: richo going onto veterans list, we already had 400k+ ready to spend on soloman last season, which is still there, finished paying hollands contract, kellaway and rogers retiring, and several middle tier players out of contract and undoubtably being dumped, not to mention gas will either take a pay cut or get traded... whereas the hawks are paying dutchy close to 600k, nuff said...

the fact is richmond has a much bigger supporter base than hawthorn, our potential to turn it around finacially is almost as big as collingwoods and essendons, which would happen if we got some onfield success, not to mention he would become a footy immortal if he turned this rabble around..

maybe Im biased but our list looks a little better too, definitely in terms of youth we seem to have the jump on the hawks


for the first time ever that I can recall, richmond and its coach have parted ways amicably without bloodshed, and even more surprisingly the board: long the source of all our woes, have for the first time put aside their own agendas in the interests of the club and landing the best possible coach, but still this doesnt seem to be enough.. why?

either our club is perceived in a much darker light than we dared to dread in the football industry or plough is just a hypocrite, and will listen to the heart and not the "process" he keeps rambling on abt, either way, the spirit of this footy club is lower than I could have ever imagined. I cant remember feeling so flat abt the tigers

Nice post tigerT. You should get more involved with threads etc you seem a lively type.

Anyway i aint beleiving anythign until its official. Like they tell us in school its not over until its over so i wont be thinking anything till he has chosen. But i will tell ya it is really peeing me off what he is doing wasting our time. Seriously im not being biased i would choose richmond. Bigger supporter base, better youngsters, no off field dramas worse than hawks, no dunstall or brerten running the joint. He has been given a broom by miller and a 4 year deal. Lets hope he puts his hand onto that broom and joins the rfc. I will not stand for another 4 years of dudness from a coach like harvey or ayres. We need wallace or eade.

If wallace doesnt come then he is a fool isnt he? Eade or Ayres would have to be just about bursting at the moment to get hold of our club.

But we really have a long way to go with or without Wallace IMO, there is alot of players on our list who when it comes down to the crunch dont have enough heart and arent prepared to play their butts off for the club we all love.

I have seriously discounted Wallace I'm just hoping our club moves on and decides to make up its own agenda instead of waiting for Terry to say he will coach Hawthorn.

If we also lose out on Eade then its not going to be much to look fwd to over the next few years and i fear where our club will be headed.

Some people want O'Donnell he wont touch Richmond and let's face it, Harvey? no thanks, Ayres I have doubts over, Lambert? come on be serious, we will struggle there is just no one out there good enough atm.

Nice to have that type of reaction over the tigers some time in the near future.

I really hope that whoever comes does become an immortal and Hawthorn - If they get Terry - and Essendon fall over and have Terry and Sheeds regretting thier decision.

Mark Harvey has thumbed his nose at us which shows that he is looking for a perfect world situation. Will most likely complain when injuries hit and anything is not going his way.

Unfortunately though, after Wallace, nobody else excites me - Rocket included.

agree completely TOO, if he wants to wait around for the hawks to have an EGM and a vote of confidence before he decides then miller should tell him he needs to make his decision now or he can get stuffed because it shows that he has made his decision. I hate the hawks.

I know it is in the best interests of the Richmond Footy Club to appoint a coach ASAP but we do have to respect that it is a very big decision for Wallace .

Having said that , TT makes some very valid points regarding Wallaces "demands" and it is pretty clear that we meet his own criteria much more than the Hawks do ,so i think that TOO has the right idea . Make your mind up by WED or we will be moving on , anything longer than that and Wallace is just dicking everyone around . You start to wonder whether he feally just enjoy`s having his name on the back page . Eade is a more than adequate option IMO anyway
