None of the articles I've seen relating to Charlie mention a connection to Bruce. Doesn't mean there isn't one though.
There was a similar question asked on the NMFC thread a couple of years ago. No further ref as far as I could make out.

Came across this in an article from The Age's Greg Baum about the De Konings. (Tom and Sam.)

Their common ancestors are Henry Kernahan and Ellen McCrea.

Hayden currently plays for the Adelaide magoos in the SANFL.

Doing some digging, there are 2 new names to be added to this.

First, you see the surname Hardiman, that's the surname of all of these players' mutual ancestors. (Patrick Hardiman and his wife, Margaret Hartigan.)

Former Carlton AFLW player and current Roo Danielle Hardiman is another part of this Hardimania.

She's also a first cousin of former Swan and Blue Jason Saddington.

Saddington is also part of this Hardimania.

It'd have to be pretty English-Irish-Scottish for the mass amount of connections.

Ancestry, each state's BDM plus the UK.

At a cursory glance, the best way to start would be Jackson and Zac Merrett.

The Lord twins on one side.
