VFL Discrace

Watchin the game today i was appauled to see senior players time and again ignore the junior players and just blase away to the other senior list players or to no1 at all and this has happened all season. On countless occasions Steve Johnson had Bucky, Smtihy and Cooky open near goals and try to snap goals from the boundry line and it consiquently lost then the match in the end! and Rahls just runs around and kicks to the closest guy in the team that has played senior games.

And what makes this worse is when the senior guys do this Ron Watt doesnt have the BA*LS to drag them and tell them off.

There is definetly a conflict of interest when it comes to winning games in the VFL. Every week guys like Byrne(c) byrnes, Spencer, Egan, Lonergan, Slade and some others put there bodys on the line and play there guts out for 5-6 individuals that couldnt give a F#!K about the result, and it is DISCRACEFUL!!!!!!!!!

I was tempted to walk out of todays game after Bucky had 3 goal assists in the first quarter and was starting to look very confident (and confidence is something he needs) only to be benched the whole second quarter.

I never seen a weaker coach than Ron Watt, he has no control.

How did Steve Johnson go? is he getting close to seniors, hes shaping as the biggest dissapointment of the season by a mile, shows what a pre season on the sidelines can do

Wouldn't exactly say that Johnson will be a dissapointment this season. With no pre-season he was always behind the eight-ball and was never expected to do anything more than be on the periphary this season. Next season I'll be expecting alot more.

Watt did drag Johnson early in the last qtr and had a word with him.

He didn't do much in the half I saw.

Port Melbourne are one of the top sides in the VFL and we did have a couple of players out. Our VFL side will probably just be making up the numbers in the finals like they did last year, without being anything special.

mate im just dissapointed in guys that should be on-field leaders that look like there not trying to win the game just trying to impress bomber. And whoever enters the best in the paper should take a good hard look at themselves!

That has been going on all season. All they do is list who should be knocking on the 1sts door eg. The Johnsons, Rahilly, Spriggs etc no matter how well they played.
