Good to see Cordy in the best, hopefully more time in the gym will see him pull on the Bulldogs guernsey in the near future. :)

No mention of Grant or Bouman, must of had days to forget.

Could anyone Willy watchers shed some light on this?

Only saw the 2nd and 3rd quarter:

Grant looked a bit flat. Gave off a nice handball which resulted in a goal and made a couple of good leads which cleared space for other players to run in (about 2 goals came from this in the 3rd quarter). Probably could've had a chance to line up for goal but he blocked the space for Chris Egan to run back into, only for Egan to not quite get there and give up at the last moment (really don't like Egan from what I saw today, greedy footballer). Also at one stage in the 2nd quarter he did a really nice 50m kick into the forward line and hit a bloke on the chest.

Not sure who Bourmann was playing on, might have been Jason Cloke at times, but whoever it was had a really nice pair of hands and out-marked him a couple of times. Seemed to be rotating a bit off the bench with Cameron Wight.

Skipper did some silly things today, prefer Minson to him based on todays performance against one of the better VFL sides, wouldn't mind him as a forward though.

Only had a good view of Guy O'Keefe in the 3rd quarter when we outscored them with the wind, but a couple of his kicking deliveries into the forward 50 were complete class.

The midfield went missing?

Very average day for most of the Bulldog boys. O'Keefe was good because he often set up goals. Reid was solid but wasted the ball a bit too much. Skipper battled hard. Lynch playing his first senior game in a while was quiet but did some nice things. Cordy needs a spell. Boumann battled on well as a defender. As doggiesin08 said, Grant looked flat and just couldn't get into the game.

Time for Roughead to be included in the seniors side.

Went to Princess Park which needs about $20mill spent on it to get it to AFL standard.

Grant is miles off playing AFL. Dropped a couple of sitters, but has quick hands however hardly got a touch and finished at centre half back.

Cordy is more likely at this point but was still quiet, moves well though.

OKeefe and Reid we probably our best, Bouman got a couple of kicks

This is a real concern! Whats going on with him?

Williamstown VS Northern Bullants Match Report

Williamstown and Northern Bullants played at Visy Park in Round 9, with both clubs coming off losses in Round 8.

Williamstown made a couple of changes – Tom Langlands and Malcolm Lynch were promoted from the Reserves and Scott Sherlock from the Western Jets was given his first senior game as the 23rd player. Out of the side went Easton Wood who was injured and Brennan Stack was promoted for his first AFL game.

First Quarter
The Bullants began in ominous fashion by kicking the opening 4 goals of the game. Their efficiency in their forward 50 was impressive and it took Willi 15 minutes to adjust and start to play with some cohesion. Matthew Little was continuing his fine form and kicked 2 goals which was followed by majors to Patrick Rose, Ben Davies and Wayde Skipper to lead by 7 points at quarter time.

Williamstown 6.2 Northern Bullants 5.1

Second Quarter
The Bullants dominated the second quarter with Cameron Cloke and Jason Saddington dominant up forward with their marking and their on ballers Jordan Bannister, Richard Hadley, Mitch Robinson and Adam Iacobucci dominant. Williamstown was under siege and were forced into skill errors and were unable to weather the onslaught, which resulted in an 8 goal to 2 quarter and a 27 point lead at the long break.

Williamstown 8.6 Northern Bullants 13.3

Third Quarter
Williamstown bounced back after twice trailing by 34 points during the quarter to claw their way back to 6 points behind. Patrick Rose was inspirational up forward against Chris Johnson by kicking 3 goals himself and setting up another 2 goals to team mates. Williamstown’s momentum received a setback when the Bullants kicked the final goal of the quarter to re-establish a 13 point lead.

Williamstown 14.8 Northern Bullants 16.9

Fourth Quarter
The final quarter saw a contrast in the efficiency of both sides. The Bullants kicked 4.4 to Willi’s 0.6 behinds to have an important victory by 35 points. The Bullants now join the Seagulls at 6-2 with both clubs trailing reigning premiers North Ballarat who are 7-1.
