Good win by the boys, but do my eyes deceive me seeing Bartel and Rooke named in the best, which obviously meant both played for the VFL side today?

Heard on the ABC late today that Enright had something like 37 posessions!!

Enright is above the VFL.

Problem is, he's not entirely fit, and like Spriggs, struggles to use the ball well.

From a different perspective, Mackie was apparently sensational today, proving he is now well and truly above the ranks of VFL football. One would think he wouldn't play next week though, given his demotion was to give him a rest. Surely he'll need more than a week out of the side, just to give his body a bit of a rest.

I hardly see how a week in the VFL is "resting" you are still playing 100+ minutes of hard football considering his quality he probebly spent no time on the bench so he played more than he would at AFL level, i think thier is a giant misconception about the VFL being a "rest stop"

That may be the case, but the physical pressure and demand on the body at VFL level just doesn't compare to AFL level.

I still find it a pointless exercise leaving him out of the AFL side for a week, then bringing him straight back in. May as well give him the full two weeks to recover.

Couldnt agree more Shaitan! Enright and Spriggs continue to win the ball with ease and then throw it away!

Will we pick up egan at the end of the year? I think if we dont some1 else, havent seen him beaten 1-on-1 yet!

Also dissapointed to see Luke Buckland sit on the bench the whole half! He came on and had 13 possies. I know we have a packed side but there is not need to sit him on the pine for a whole half, it just destroys his confidence.

And Jeff Smith is starting to put some doubt into the boards heads, has done some good stuff in the last two weeks and is in the Vic squad. Will he be at the cattery next year?????
