VFLW Qualifying Final @ Windy Hill - Essendon v HAWTHORN - Saturday 11am (Free Entry and live streamed)

Before both clubs start their AFLW season 7 campaign, the Hawks and Bombers will square off in a VFLW Qualifying Final at Windy Hill.

FREE ENTRY on Saturday, 11th June, with first bounce at 11:05am. Live on WARFRadio.com (and 89.1FM at the oval) from 10am and AFL.com.au from 11am.

Both sides will get a home final next week, with the winner going to the Major Semi-Final, and the loser to the Minor Semi-Final.
Winner plays highest placed winner of 3rd (Casey) v 6th (Collingwood) and 4th (Geelong) v 5th (Saints), Loser plays 2nd highest ranked winner of those matches.

Wow. It doesn't seem to matter what tier the sport is played at, the commentators can't help barring themselves over Essendon.

So it seems Essendon player played on, stopped, umpire allowed them to go back to take shot mid-way through being tackled. 50 awarded, Hawks' confused, another free is given. Chaos ensues. Probably ill-disciplined at the end of that scuffle from Hawks but they're not robots and all the umps did was create confusion. Doesn't help.

Game well out of reach now, completely took wind out of sails.
