Gabby Collingwood was also officially announced today, along with Cassie Davidson (who's on those lists above). I'd expect her to be on another list in a fortnight's time too.

A draw to start the year vs essendon.
Down by 2 goals late, aine mcdonagh gets put down behind play by an essendon player. Appeared to be a rib or lung injury based on the time she stayed down.

Edit*
Word from someone in the club is it's a rib injury

Nail-biter today yesterday! 34 to 33.

Jordan Mifsud BOG, could have done enough last two games to get on the list next week? (my 5c for what it is worth is that on Tuesday if we take all 3 picks then it will be out of Mifsud, Garner, Boyd, Collingwood selected).

Baskaran had plenty of it in the mids, Perko 2 goals, Locke and Barbakos one each. Sure the club will give us a report during the week like last time but sounds a good hit out plus the win.

Dogs came out not to lose, and it almost happened.

Thought perkins was the point of difference. It was the 2 goals, but her ability to kick over the congestion

After a good game against the Southern Saints, and now top of the table, the team for this week has been announced

Baird, Everist, Brown, Hipwell, Smith, Baskaran from the AFLW list, but our BOG from the 2018 VFLW grand final, Chantella Perera, back in the line up for the first time this season

Part of the double header at BCO with the boys on earlier at 12.

5 goal loss.
Port played the perfect game. Their only 2 behinds came from 1 that was touched on the line, and the other a rushed behind. Everything was bouncing their way. Just one of those games.

Meanwhile nothing went the hawks way. Perfect kicks dropping short at the last second etc.

Live and learn. Onto next Sunday against casey in wonthaggi

Won against Casey last week at Wonthaggi. This week up against the bottom of the ladder Darebin at Preston. Only Baird and Elliott from the AFLW list.

In: 93. D. Ryan, 65. J. Vukic, 85. A. Pisano, 84. L. Stone, 71. A. Campbell, 78. C. Thorne
Out: 55. C. Perera (injured), 25. E. Everist, 58. N. von Bertouch (injured), 54. J. Mifsud, 21. S. Locke, 60. G. Matser (injured)

Good win in the end after a slow start with some really bizarre umpiring littering the game (such as play on being called for out of bounds before the umpire had set the mark, with a darebin player lingering 1m behind the hawk)

Overall, a win is a win. Onto the scum next week

From the AFLW team, Janet Baird stays in and good to see Aine back after her rib injury in VFLW round 1

I do like the aflw players using the vflw as preseason training. Helps with match fitness.

Surprise Elliot is out, as she was starting to get used to the midfield time

Should be closer. Essendons only goal came from first a third-up ruck free where the ball went OVER the ruck, followed by a player being caught dead, doing a drop kick off the ground, ball hitting the post, then soccered through on the rebound

It has been woefully umpired. Also the advantage paid where umpire delayed the whistle, then decided AFTER the BH player was forced to play o, by the late call, to call advantage, and ten immediately pay holding the ball, because they called advantage while under pressure. Disgraceful.

All for the theatre I suppose.
Just remember, these 2 umpires were in the port Adelaide vs hawks game where 2 port players tackled each other but still got the free for holding the ball
