You could well be right with that 4.
Cleve's playing Coburg 2's I think but sometimes you need to just say stuff it, here, have a go, the floor is yours. I think we can safely say Cogs will start in the middle this week.
Swans players play in a sub par league when they aren't in the firsts so maybe we should play them all in the Coburg 2's to regain some form!

We realistically only have two people fighting for the FF spot. Schulz has been shit - average in all three weeks and hasn't imposed himself. I see no choice in the matter, Hughes has to come in.

Hate them all, hopefully all gone by seasons end. We should be playing the C's if they're ready to go - Collins, Connors, Cogs, Cleaver and Cotchin/Cousins when ready. Tommorow will be interesting... Tambling, King, Edwards and Schulz should all be dropped. If they aren't I will lose what little faith I have left in the RFC coaching staff. Bowden skating on thin ice too. Play the kids you douchebag Wallace.

i think you'll get your wish, their all in my sights, expect to see Jordy back with Cogs and Collins with thursty back for sarge

vickery should be aiming to play coburg seniors soon and stay consistend and next year maybe crack a few games.

i know ruckmen take yrs to develop
from what ive seen though.. im kinda worried
thought he was more agile than what ive seen
hasnt presented in overly confident ways either..
he'll be right lets hope :thumbsu:

It's foolish to write off a kid or any player under 22 for that matter, but I have to say the decision to draft him has always concerned me, knew we would be before we did, but personally I wanted Ziebell.

I agree drafting ruckmen with your first round pick is fraught with danger and combined with the knee recos and the slight wiff of nepotism involved, I've never felt completely at ease with this choice. Hope it turns out to be the right one.

Some interesting info I found on him today from the 08 draft reports;

FROM: The Sandringham Dragons and Haileybury College, where Vickery has played after recovering from a season-ending knee injury in early 2007. He played for Vic Metro in this year's under- 18 national championships
THE NUMBERS: Born 31 May, 1990, 200 centimetres, 89 kilograms.
THE LOWDOWN: Vickery is a ruckman, and spent much of his time out injured studying the subtleties of ruck work. But he is also a strong mark, and it's easy to envisage him becoming, at 200 centimetres and with pace, a powerful centre half-forward.
RUNNING AND JUMPING: Vickery's endurance can do with some work. But - off a knee reconstruction - he has a lot to offer athletically. His speed is a highlight - Vickery ran a 2.94-second 20-metre sprint, finishing in a hurry after running the first five metres in 1.04 seconds. His 20-metre time put him in the top 20 per cent of the kids at draft camp.

With running and jumping stats I wonder why he is in the two's

Guess he will get a chance at some time in the future, hope he does well:thumbsu:

Oh, and for the record Kreuzer was listed as 199cm & 91 kg at the 07 draft camp.

Fairly similar to Tyrone, so to say he is not body size ready is debatable:confused:

well i feel sorry for vickery already after reading through all the responses on this board .. alot of you are not giving him any time to develop ..

i would hate to play for richmond !! i really would ... 3 games into your first season if you havent played senior footy then you are no good :(

the match committee of both richmond and coburg should be held accountable. they often put a premium on winning (without much success) and ignore development. that's such a short sighted way of running the club it's not funny. at least at coburg the youngers should be played instead of those like silvester

lol at you using Rich to compare him with. Rich had played a full 2 years of senior football before being drafted. Vickery had come off a knee reco and pretty much a full year. Why not compare him to Ayce Cordy? He is also a ruckman and was taken a few picks after Vickery...he isnt playing seniors yet.

Seriously people get a clue you are expecting way to much to see Vickery playing AFL in his first year. And with the 12/10 rule yeah sometimes he will play VFL reserves.
He will be better than Vickery, went to school and played b-ball with the kid, freakish ability. If his playing seniors before vickery we have failed epicly, as Cordy's a beanpole.
