Virtual memory dilemma

Only recently i have noticed a "virtual memory too low" pop up continually on my PC particularly when surfing the net and having only 1 website open.I have noticed my computer slow down considerably because of this and was wondering if anybody knows a way of freeing up the memory back to normal

Generally you should have about twice as much virtual as physical memory. It may not be so big if it has been set too low or you don't have enough contiguous disk space. You can change the settings easily enough by going to control panel>system>advanced>peformance>virtual memory or something similar depending on your OS. It may wel be a sin that you need more physical memory, which is a good idea, as it 1000 times faster than virtual (hence your system slowing up). You might also find that you have a memory leak somewhere through some dodgy application or spyware.

spyware will do that to you. download ad-aware to scan your puter.
