I have had a great carnival. Didnt bet on saturday as i was working but was glad efficient won. Put $70 bucks in on Tuesday and havent looked back untill the first 8 races today when i gave some of it back. But the last winner was great and put me well up.

How has everyone else faired over the carnival?

All up about 1k up, thanks mostly to Oaks day, and derby day, with also a great day at Kyneton, but might have run into a small fortune today - will keep you posted

You can never tell when she's going to show up. Sometimes puts in, sometimes doesn't. Certainly lost her Queensland Oaks winning form, if that's form at all.

I normally budget for the likely event Ill get reamed

From memory
Turnbull Stakes - $500 up (highlight - Divine Madonna at 12's)
Guineas Day - $100 up (Wonderful World at 5's)
Thousand Guineas - Evens
Caulfield Cup Day - $50 down (Perfectly Ready at 10's)
Cox Plate Day - $500 up (Got a decent First Four in Zipping and Gallics race and had a bit on Gallic for place at 7's)
Werribee Cup - $500 up (Another First Four and 3/3 winners incl Brom Felinity, Ruben)
Derby Day - $180 up (Efficient at 5's, Maybe Better at 9's)
Melbourne Cup - $250 down (Royal Asscher thats it at 2's)
Oaks Day - $150 up (Collodi and a fluke running double in Bris)
Stakes Day - $200 up (Brom Felinity at 14's and Divine Madonna at 5's)

My bank balance is normally depleted leading into Xmas after a massacre - this year its pressies for everyone
