Pink Ball Tests are not the best time to bet on batsmen. Even prime Ponting, Tendulkar, and Kallis would struggle in these conditions.

How good were Starc and Boland?

The former unfairly maligned despite an excellent record over 100 Tests, the latter just fronts up whenever needed, slots in seamlessly, and just does his job; if Boland played for any other country, he'd probably be the first quick picked (besides India and Bumrah).

Starc basically the most underrated player to play for Australia in history.

I reckon he now takes Alan Davisons spot in our all-time XI.

I always had Mitchell Johnson right up there, but while his best was incredible (that 2013-14 summer, Ashes and SA tour), his worst was park cricket standard. Starc has his pie chucker moments, but 4 wickets a Test for 100 Tests is elite; i think he also has the record for the most dismissals in the first over of an innings.

An all-time attack of Lillee, McGrath, Starc, Warne and Miller would take 20 wickets very easily (you'd also have Cummins in the mix when he's done).

Miller gets in (he went to my School) - bats at 6 and bowls his fast mediums.

It's tough, both Starc and Cummins are close.

Cummins' batting is bloody good... as is Starc's! Real close to be honest.
